Ive seen this multiple times in the thread
sounds like it takes more skill to use a controller

Nah, cause think about it, you're only using 2 fingers for controller, with the occasional index for r1. With kb/m, with your left hand alone you're doing more actions than someone with a controller would be doing. It takes 3 fingers to control the wasd for movement + your thumb on space and your pinky on shift for secondary fire/weapon binds or whatever have you. And then also with your right hand, you're doing more than someone with a controller because while you have to use 2 fingers for your mouse buttons, you have the added responsibility of having to use the remaining 3 fingers to grip so you can move your mouse around for precise movement/aim, which as @Ciggavelli said, is not assisted on PC.

Here's a weird comparison i thought of: We all know how fast a cockroach is: They run at 3 mph, which is the equivalent of humans running 135 mph. The way they run is so complex that even human science can't replicate it. Each of their 2 front legs has 5 joints which in conjunction with their other multi-jointed legs, produce a locomotion so intricate that no other living creature can replicate it. Now if you took away just one of their legs, their entire locomotion system is gimped and they would be lucky to move at 1/10th of their original speed.

The same goes for using controller vs KB/m, when your using just 2 fingers instead of the 10 that you're capable of using, the breadth of things you're able to do becomes much, much, MUCH smaller, and why on earth would you want to do that? :dahell:

lets be real though. regardless of what platform people choose now, they've probably used a controller at some point

and didn't you choose to use a controller on PC?
I played BF4 with a controller on PC. KD was over 1

:ehh:

I play Overwatch on KB/M tho

It's not this complicated breh.

You're just typing to type. It's as simple as this. If you pick up the sticks on console in any competitive shooter, you're getting slapped.

Same goes for a console player going to PC.

All console shooters don't have aim assist. I have to repeat this cause some people act like this isn't the case.

Your explanation about having more keys to press with a keyboard doesn't mean shyt. Just means it's more complicated. How do you figure having to reach around with more fingers press keys to move around, crouch, melee and whatever else is better than the ease of literally having your fingers sitting on the buttons for those actions?

:what:

The logic is retarded. It's like me saying aiming on controller is better because aiming with an analog stick is more complicated than point and left clicking on a mouse.

Actually, it is this complicated..and this is how i know that people that use a controller are retarded, they have no concept of advanced movement. Watch this video very carefully..

See in order to bunny hop you need to be strafing (that is moving without turning) and turning in the same direction at the same time in either direction, very quickly again and again indefinitely in order to go faster than the 320 cap. Since your 2 thumbs are taxed already, and generally speaking people have to "bump" their way on analog joysticks to where they need to be before they can fire (or jump in this matter) This would quite literally be impossible to do, as the speed you need to turn varies very slightly and you need to be strafing left/right simultaneously.. which your thumb alone isn't fast enough to do. And then say if you COULD find some way to do this which would be highly highly impractical, having to do this while firing? changing weapons? crouching? maybe you need just one round for a shotgun blast to hit a button and need to switch back to your rocket launcher real quick for another rocket jump, while maintaining speed? Get real.

At the end of the day it is all the same shyt. I play on pc and xboxone, my brother plays on xboxone. I don't think I am better than him because I play on PC.

you won't be some super pro on the console just because you registered a couple of hours with a keyboard and mouse. Same game across all the platforms. It will always come down to reaction time and map awareness.

I go against high level KB+M players on R6 Seige all day and beat em :gucci:

how do you know they were using kb/m?

dont know why people are arguing this. It just easier playing with a kb/m. That is just fact.

No one is shytting on your skill.

It's an easy tell by their movements, you only add it when you go against diamonds tho
But people act like if you give some random person a KB/M they can rule on Consoles just cuz, if your a scrub on PC your gonna be a scrub on Console

Good job, you've essentially proved my point in each of these videos, that consoles on fps are for retards. Take the titanfall movement for example.. Having to do the air strafe taxes all of his fingers. What if he needs to hit a flick shot or a rocket jump in the opposite direction between jumps? He can't because A) The games mechanics don't allow for him to fire and maintain that speed at the same time (IE the "slide" mechanic, or the stupid button i like to call it, these games have a special function to increase speed rather than the true locomotion of more traditional PC shooters, And when this is activated, the user is unable to fire, lest he lose speed.. we QW dont players have that issue, theres no special function to increase speed, thats just how fast you go organically by turning your mouse and hitting left to right, resulting in a faster paced game.) And B) He would have to do a 360 and change weapons in the time between jumps, which would be impossible at the fixed sensitivity of a controller(you'll notice he can only turn so far in so much time to hit an opponent after a jump, and after he kills someone he comes to a complete halt and has to start the movement/slide sequence again) and with all of your operating fingers being taxed by "sliding", You wouldn't be able to change weps or fire even if the game allowed you to, due to the limitations of a controller.

Same thing with overwatch, although its comical to me that you're using overwatch as an example of pro movement, ill entertain you. in OW it's even worse, the lucio has the speed boost AND the slide mechanic, its as simple as hitting a button and holding jump.. and while hes holding jump he's unable to fire and there's a cool down on the boost so its not abusable.(They have really added alot of elements in overwatch to make it so the hardcore players with quake level aim can't dominate as hard as they want to, such as all the different stuns and weird barriers to hard counter anyone who the team is having trouble killing in straight up fights, but thats a different topic.) In QW/REFLEX or what have you, there is no cooldowns, all chars move at that speed, at all times, and you have to be able to fire to spam rockets/grenades while maintaining speed. And as simple as that dumb shyt is... they're making a huge deal about it because even that basic ass movement is considered the pinnacle of movement on a controller. Please, YOU shut the fukk up.

The tactics you pick up in one game can apply to others. As OP is asking about PC to console you'll probably have an easier time tactics wise but otherwise you're using two different forms of input and that will be your downfall.

I find Quake to be the purest form of competitive FPS gameplay. Once I got my shakes there other games were becoming easier.

It's true, once you master quake, all other FPS games are like childs play.
