It's the weirdest fake alpha male shyt ever, completely detached from reality. "I'm the dominant head of the family, what you make is irrelevant" is such a laughable position to take and tells me you aren't in the dating game AT ALL. No disrespect but the views being presented are a crystal clear example of why and how black people are so far behind when it comes to financial literacy. Take away the racism, structural problems and white fukkery...and you've still got black men and women saying marriage doesn't matter, or "the money a woman makes is irrelevant." While your white coworker is literally building perfect credit off dual income with their husband/wife. What is wrong with you guys...
We're so stuck on this imaginary Kevin Samuels conversation on men making over 300k that we're overlooking the fact that this country's upper middle class is driven by people making....70k, 80k, 90k, 100-150k or more (depending on your location, of course). Those are the salary ranges of accountants, engineers, doctors, attorneys, financial planners, IT security, etc. The most lucrative professions. And if they're white (or Asian, or Indian, or black etc)...they're marrying each other on average. And when your combined income jumps to 200k+ suddenly you are in position to build perfect credit, prepare for your children's college educations, buy a home, get an Audi SUV, and all the other big boy shyt couples are doing while you...seek out your unemployed queen because she knows her place at the bottom while you're the head of the family. Madness.
