If steph would of taken the warriors atleast to the playoffs those 2 years before this one I woulda said yes.

steph played 5 games in the 2020 season
Steph played with fringe NBA talent in 2021
at least Iverson had an actual team, although everyone acts like that 1 seeded 76ers team was trash
2021 GSW:
-Kent Bazemore - Fringe NBA Talent. Fell out the Lakers rotation last season after 15 games. out the league, hasnt been signed
-Eric Paschall - Fringe NBA talent. signed a 1 year 2-way contract in july, only in the league for 4 seasons and is close to being out
-Mychal Mulder - Fringe NBA talent. Waived after being on a two way contract with Miami
-Brad Wannamaker - Fringe NBA talent. out the league
-Kelly Oubre - need i say more
-James Wiseman - Fringe NBA talent. has no earthly idea how to play nba basketball. looks lost most of the time on the court
-Jordan Poole - 2nd year in the league at the time. On his way to being a good rotation piece.
-Draymond - 1 of 3 legitimate basketball players
-Andrew wiggins - the second of 3 legitimate ball players next to steph
-Nico Mannion - Fringe NBA talent out the league after 1 season
-Damion Lee - fringe NBA talent. Steph's brother-in-law
-Kevon Looney- 3rd legitimate ball player next to steph. unfortunately Coming off surgery. Had his minutes cut to accommodate future NBA Bust, James Wiseman
-Gary Payton II - played 10 games total in the 2021 season
-Alen Smalagic - Fringe NBA talent. Out the league
-Juan-toscano Anderson - fringe NBA talent. Cut out of the rotation for Jonathan Kuminga (a rookie) a season later.
2001 76ers
-Mutombo - the current DPOY, his FOURTH
-Tyrone Hill - former All Star, 10 year vet at the time
-Matt Geiger - 10 year vet
-Jumaine Jones - good defensive player, about 8 year vet at the time
-aaron mckie - 6MOY
The issue with this team was that there were no other scorers, but it was an incredible defensive/rebounding team.
The 2021 warriors were filled with fringe NBA talent from top to bottom, most of whom are out of the league, or on the way out. If you give steph the 2001 sixers they can make the finals. People are calling the 2022 warriors stacked. As long as you give steph competent NBA players, he can always contend. it was still a very special year for the 2001 76ers and special run. Still impressive due to the offensive burden Iverson had to bear, but his teammates deserve more credit because they stepped up in those playoffs even when AI was kinda losing his matchup in every series.
