I made some rice and black beans.

I cooked some onions, minced garlic, thyme and cilantro, in a pot with oil. Added the beans, diced tomatos flavored with onions, garlic and celery. Added the rice and water or broth. Boiled and covered it. Then simmered it was done.

I had some sauted spinach and baked plantains in the side.
Repped. I'm still eating very basic plant-based meals. More so eating to live than living to eat. I don't consider myself vegan, I just want everything I eat to have some kind of nutritional value.

When it comes to chickpeas how do you feel ?

They almost too high in carbs but the greatness when I cook them Curry style with basmati rice :wow:

It's going to get harder the input vs output with winter here I was in Florida where it was 89 and the next day in New York when they said only two inches of snow it was almost two feet of snow

I would do a run of at least 6 miles every other day hitting hills and a fukking dam to quote Puffy "what am I going to do now"
I feel you. I'm a runner and a cyclist so carbs are my everything. Cold or rainy seasons I either hit the treadmill at the gym or be on my indoor bike trainer so my activity level doesn't change much in the winter. I need to find some chickpea recipes tho. I made some hummus once that was pretty good.

Sebi is anti everything that taste good. Every vegetable you ever loved got something wrong with it.
And where’s that mothafukka? Dead!

While I believe you shouldn’t leave this planet with toes and a leg missing, I’m not going to look at a pineapple upside down cake or a sweet potato pie with :camby:

Uno's Curry chickpeas

You need

Onion
Curry powder
Black pepper
Can of chickpeas (I usually cook three cans because they be on sale 3/1 at stop &shop here in NY)
Chicken bullion cubes( a cube per can of chickpeas)
Garlic salt
Brown sugar
Ground ginger
Butter
Olive oil
Fresh garlic
Scallions
Cinnamon

Couple of potatoes cut into tiny cubes
Add whatever seasonings and find your ratios like I sometimes add fresh spinach or a bunch of tomatoes at the end

A night before I strain the chickpeas in a strainer I put in the fridge to dry them out

I dice up the onion and fry a quarter of it in Olive oil in a cast iron skillet then I add like a third of the chick peas put your face near take in that smell add the Curry powder and scallion

In a pot add two cups of water for each bullion cube you use for each can of chickpeas ( boil the water add the cubes stir) pour this into the cast iron skillet with the rest of everything else(except the butter) that you didn't fry up and simmer it down season to taste with a top on until the potatoes get soft there is usually a nice bite to everything so you add the brown sugar not just to cut it down but for it to hide the heat a little bit longer as you eat

After the potatoes get soft bring everything to a boil then cook on low (evaporation method) towards the end as you stir add in the butter and put it on rice or with boiled plaintain with boiled dumpling

I usually have a stash of red onions I pickled that I add on top :wow:

This serves people

That's the tough part. It's very difficult for the food industry to make a profit with live foods, too many variables not enough demand. So when you're out and about, processed foods will typically be your only option.

Preparation is everything. Stocking your cabinets with grains, always having fruits around. Bananas are my go to food any time I get the hunger pains. They buy me time to make a better more fulfilling food choice.

Typically my day starts with a smoothie with kale, mixed fruit, almond milk, and chia seeds. Then take some oat meal and a banana to work with me. Snack on some almonds, raisins, and peanut butter in between time.

For lunch I'll usually do quinoa, brown or black rice, pinto or black beans, yam or russet potato, and a spinach salad with tomatos, cucumber and balsamic vinegar. Grapefruit for desert. This plate might not look appetizing but it's a fulfilling meal. I'm actually enjoying the different beans and greens.

My dinners are usually the same food staples just prepared differently.
No chicken, meat or protein :mjcry: Salute to you brother but I don't think I can live like that.

Do you eat fish at least? Do you recommend that occasionally?
I thought so too but I went to a Sebi seminar and they prepped/cooked black rice instead...
Was this at the Masonic Temple in Brooklyn? or one of his events out in LA?

I always wanted to go to one of his events and to go to Ushua Village in Honduras. Dr.Sebi seemed real as fukk and it seems like in the least he helped people to get their health right.

I'll eat baked chicken 2-3 times a week. I never really was a fish eater. I get plenty of protein from beans, lentils, chia seeds etc. I do believe the whole protein thing is just a meat industry marketing ploy. I don't have anything against eating meat, I just really prefer plant-based foods now.

:pacspit: I rather suck Precious toes than eat broccoli, that shyt nasty.

I was like you until recently

here's the thing

Boiled and steamed AKA wet broccoli taste like fermented hippo farts. When you Oven roast them with seasonings its a world of difference. Roasted broccoli taste like Kale Chips except more "meatier",
I now fukks with broccoli after that lil discovery.

Also to the other brehs in here, Stop splitting hairs with this nutrtion shyt, Just eat the fukking veggies

Dr Sebi now that ive snapped out of the matrix,I realized half of the shyt he was talkin was nutritional elitist quackery, even if he meant well.

To have optimal health doesnt require all the bullshyt restrictions.

drastically reduce dietary fat, up the carb intake from vegigies starchy and non starchy, and consume minimal portions of meat. and train for functional strength and endurance.

All of this masochist shyt is played and unnecessary, Just eat the damn food and lift the the damn weight and get on with your day.

I hate wet broccoli, and If you leave it setting out a few days by accident the whole house will be:damn: from all the sulfur fermenting and shyt. cot damn it I hate that smell.

Also I flavor all my roasted vegetables with this
s-l300.jpg

I f I run out of this

then I'll use a mix of
Garlic salt
Onion Powder
Ground celery/ Celery powder
Italian Seasoning
small amount of cayenne pepper for a lil kick

I use to put it on my grilled chicken thighs but works on broccoli and other vegetables too.

The only thing I fear about being vegan is your body becoming too alkaline. And that can cause cancer
