you shouldnt care in your little bubble, but those casual fans will be the reason nas gets dusted :manny:

then there would be a 30 page thread on here right after crying about those same casual fans not giving a fukk about memory lane, i gave you power and other classic nas b sides songs.

mannie fresh (niche) vs scott scorch (mainstream) is actually a perfect example of how this battle would go.

Casual fans didn’t decide Beenie Man vs Bounty Killer or Erykah vs Jill Scott or RZA vs Premo....

Im a big Jay fan the only Stan here is you.

And more rubbish, many rappers have had more club bangers than Jay, Drake and Lil Wayne irrefutably is two, DmX Snoop Tupac Biggie can all be argued.

Yes the nostalgia of Sunshine:mjlol:, Nas had Hate me Now and Oochie Wally which was as big as any Jay Z song in the clubs from 98-03 also, lest you forget?
Nas don’t have a single plat single

A lot of those would get trashed, no one thinks Umbrella is better than 10 k hours lmao, maybe some little blonde girls in Germany maybe.

Stop it. You can't seriously think that Jhene Aiko song is going to win anything in a battle. It's a cool song, but that song just came out and it's not like it was earth shattering. Why would Jay be playing "Umbrella" or Nas play "10K Hours" anyway. With a lot of the songs ya'll naming from both artists, people would be leaving the live stream.

These Versuz battles aren't all about hits. Sometimes artists drop some B Sides and some obscure songs that only die hards know, but those don't dominate the battle. For Nas and Jay, they are obviously going to pick songs that fans on both sides know. They would mostly play classics. Out of Jay Z's biggest hits, I only see him playing these:

Big Pimpin
Dirt Off Your Shoulders
Hard Knock Life

The rest are going to be some minor hits and album cuts. I don't really see Jay playing songs of his that came out after Black Album. I don't really see Nas playing anything beyond God's Son.

casuals def decided beenie vs bounty. the argument could be made that premo lost because he was digging in the crates a bit. i just seen the nas features you posted as "relevant" (:dead:) so we can just end this convo here and ill let you continue to get your stan shyt off :hubie:

Thing is I was never even a Jay fan like that. Depending on what day you ask me my favorite MC is either Nas or Redman. But I can still be objective. Jay has always been more popular than Nas and these versus battles have always been popularity contests. The two artists don’t have to play all hits but the one that plays the most always ends up on top. It happened with RZA and Erykah. They both played more songs that we well known. Jay has more popular music than Nas and that’s no dis to him. The fact that Nas has never had that many big singles and still has had the career he’s had is a testament to his greatness. But this isn’t his type of format. He’s never been that kinda artist

Yes because Jhene Aiko and Summer Walker are two of the most influential female artists of this generation.

I certainly would play 10K hours over Run This Town if im meeting my lady friend, I mean who even plays a Run this Town, that shyt was wack even 10 years ago, Jay had a dope verse on it though.

It’s not about hits, are you on Twitter? Because ‘Black twitter’ generally weren’t on scoring the Badu and Jill Scott battle, just showing love to both artists, it’s not about hits.

Come on bro what we do is one of my favourite songs of all time, but you really prefer to listen to that around women in a club than oochie Wally?
