I'm Sorry - Randy Moss is the best I have ever seen, and it's not close.

It's similar to saying that MJ is the GOAT but based on who you saw play from start to finish, Kobe might get the nod. Doesn't mean Kobe is the all-time GOAT, just the best you ever saw do it.

But no, Rice is the GOAT WR. Megatron might challenge that later, but given the era he plays in, his claim won't be as legitimate.

No denying that Moss should have taken that crown from Rice, though.

Calvin Johnson is a beast when it is all said and done. and he will be up there too with Moss and Rice and Terrell Owens

Props to CJ...But if we're gonna talk current guys,...I still can't say he'll be better than Andre Johnson.........But he's definitely on track

:comeon:where is the tape
Cause there is none. That's some media perpuated BS. You dont put up the numbers Randy did by half assing it. I never heard a Vikings teammate, coach, or fan ever complain about his effort on Sundays[/QUOTE]

These cats must forgot Mawse played hurt all the time. Many of those times he shouldn't have even been out there... Mike Tice :scusthov:. When he "mooned" Lambeau he had a bad wheel and still did al harris dirty :whew:. Mawse would be hobbling on the field but was still used offense as a decoy because the defense feared him that much :ohlawd:.

If Mawse half assed it as much as the media and some of these posters say, then why would he play hurt :patrice:

Its a fukking shame what Andre had playing at QB most of his career. Then to still put up the numbers he did. :wow:

He needs to get traded to my Eagles for his last couple of years. :smugfavre:

North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
Put Randy Moss with Montana and Young for the majority of his career and does he put up better numbers than Rice?

I think he does. Moss made a :flabbynsick: Cunningham look like a HOF QB in his prime and made Donte Cullpepper look like a starting QB. Miami even signed him over Drew Brees :russ: let that sink in for a minute.

Rice is best wr ever. Not even a question. Look at #s and championships
Moss is the most talented and feared
Megatron most physically gifted wr ever. 6'5 240 with 4.3 speed.

Joe Montana
Steve Young
Rich Gannon

Innovative offenense
HOF teammates

All of this helped Jerry out.

In Oakland Randy was stuck with a bum ass team and qb who couldn't hit Randy when he got wide fukkin open, and that happened often. Randy was 30 years old and when he finally goes to a good team with a HOF qb, and he did mind boggling damage.

When you talk about a weapon, and the biggest deep threat of all time, you're talking Randy Moss.

The biggest thing I respect about Jerry however, is his longevity and work ethic. The fact he was still playing well into his late 30's and could still play in his 40's was amazing. However he wasn't the supreme athlete Randy was.

1. Championships in football equate to team sports. Rice won most of his titles in a pre salary cap pre free agent era where great players stayed together for most of their careers. he also went from Montana to Steve Young and Bill Walsh was his coach which brought a revolutionary offense to the NFL.

2. If you're the most talented and most feared...... How does that not make you the best?

3. Randy Moss is only an inch shorter and he's faster. He can make every catch Johnson can make. And he's caught more TD's.

Randy Moss forced teams to create new coverage's and they still couldn't stop him. He was a WR on two of the top 3 most prolific offenses of all time. The only thing Rice has over any other WR's is longevity. He was able to put up numbers over a longer period of time. Toward the end of Moss career he was basically used as a decoy, even in San Fran while Rice was able to go to teams that made it a goal to get him the ball.
