Not really a shocker.

Lamar statistically had a better year, but I think a few factors went against him -
  • He's already won the award 2x (voter fatigue similar to Embiid / Jokic)
  • Ravens had 6 All Pros on their team vs 0 with the Bills (makes it seem like Josh did more with less)
  • His teammate Derrick Henry was also an MVP candidate
I think Lamar should have won but I'm not shocked at this. That dude who voted Lamar 4th needs to get his voting rights revoked though.

And the big thing you're ignoring is that when Henry rushed for under 90 yards, the ravens had a LOSING record. He was arguably an MVP candidate himself.


You're last paragraph - a few people did actually say this a little bit - it's why Steve McNair split the MVP with him in 03 despite Peyton having more TDs, Yards, and wins.

And it's why many feel Peyton didn't deserve all 5 of his MVPs

well, first off you can eliminate CMC because unfortunately the MVP race has come down to strictly quarterbacks

Dak played a week schedule and most of the big-time games he came up small

Josh went 11–6 and had to win the final game against the Dolphins just to make it into the playoffs plus he had 22 turnovers


listen, if you don’t like Lamar, that’s cool to each is own
but you’re making a bunch of bullshyt excuses your analogies are not apples to apples. You’re trying to say we want to use stats over wins. He won his division and was the third seed in the AFC. with gis HOF kicker losing at least 3 games this season and did that with the hardest schedule in the whole entire NFL

The only thing I'll ever give these people credit for is how talented they are at masking their racism.

Nobody black actually ever falls for it, but I personally appreciate the creativity, and the rest of the world eats it up.

A QB has one of the best seasons in the history of the sport and isn't rewarded the games most prestigious individual accolade.

This type of thing could ONLY happen to a black man.

Brady got sacked 38 times. Oline was just terrible. Had no running game. It was a miracle that team went to afcc.

Brady was the best player, but didnt have the narrative and went on a losing streak at the end.
