Why? Because LeBron didn't dance in an isolation and try to shoot a contested jumper at the buzzer? He preferred to attack the basket and if the defense crashed, he would pass to a wide open teammate on the perimeter, much to the dismay of armchair quarterbacks who considered that type of play to be cheating.

It's why LeBron has a better success rate on those plays. If he isolated for a jumpshot on all of those plays, his percentage would be terrible since it's the lowest percentage play that can possibly be drawn up. For some reason, it's the type of low percentage play everyone wants to see though :manny:

I guess you could say that, too. But there def were moments where LeBron panicked and lost control. Him looking for more efficient plays is one thing but the point I was making was more about those panic attack moments Bron had in the past.

People argue that Jordan benefitted from the pre-internet era, and in some ways that may be true.

But it was also detrimental to him in that his legacy would arguably be greater if he did the same exact things in the internet age.

mike benefited from the pre-internet era. because no one remembers his bad games. they were not overscrutinized by BLOGGERS who are now equivalent to the media since the media a lot of times get their que from what ever is popular. if its blog then thats the topic for the hour.

he also benefited when it came to him being a worldclass Butt hole. as you saw in his HOF speech. the fact he punched a teammate was a big deal but wasnt big enough for most 2o something year olds to remember it. that is not a fact in wikipedia if you look up mike. proves the point. if he was around during all this media blitz. and let that fool crack a teammate. it would've been all over the news. TMZ, online every where etc. "MJ is a bad teammate...he's a bully. no one wants to play with MJ....." all that kind of nonsense. he missed out on that. what you saw was a manufactured MJ on commercials. all smiles and dunks. so you ASSUMED he's a nice guy thats a great player.
