Like i said, for MKBHD it's cool he's successful, but it's clear he's been "gone" for a long time, you don't ever really see him around other black people outside of the few times he and uravconsumer linked up purely for youtube tech videos. I switched to the alternative a while ago. And his content is alot more grounded. He doesn't make videos about electric cars that 99% of his viewers will never purchase. Congrats to MKBHD on his success, but dude been "gone" for a while. He made one video on his whole channel where he kind of addressed being black right in the middle of George Floyd riots, but other than that..................

And we should not be criticized for that. Until it comes out that the hiring process unfairly excludes black applicants then I don’t see the problem.

I’ve tried to hire oriole and I can count on 1 hand the amount of times I had black applicants. I actually wanted to hire one guy but he already had accepted another offer. Sometimes you don’t have the pool to hire from.

Re the pool of candidates

I generally think that issue is wildly overstated.....tech companies love to use ut and then we get the constant stream of stories about their hiring, interview and workplace practices

In fact they hire white candidates with meagre credentials they would never let black people slide with
