I'm gonna miss watching basketball on TNT

ESPN is fukking trash, I hate watching games on there

If the Inside Crew is still in the TNT studios it sounds like it will still be the same production but just air on ESPN/ABC

I'm guessing the NBA made sure to have a smooth transition at least for a few years.

I don't know if it's been said, but the NBA on TNT devotes a lot of time to pregame, halftime, and postgame. Will ESPN allow the same amount of time to these segments when they make the transition or will they make some cuts? I know a lot of people made comments about ESPN running a lot of ads and am wondering if this will have an effect on time.

thanks for the info breh, because I hate ESPN'S coverage of the NBA, with five minute halftime shows and 50 million commercials, plus like other brehs said, ESPN never starts their games on time on TNT

TNT will still produce the show from Atlanta.

I hope TNT or House of Highlights posts the segments on YouTube like they normally do.

House of Highlights has a huge subscriber number.

It’s going to be similar deal McAfee has.

Exactly what I was saying when it was first announced…ppl thinking it’s gonna be the same show just airing on ESPN will be in for a rude awakening
Won’t be the same but…

SVP isn’t on every night though. And Inside isn’t going to be on as often.

If TNT is smart, they’d stream it on YouTube like McAfee does his show.

The first point has been done before previously, but you're fukking with someone's bread at that point and creating another Nichols/Taylor situation. You also end up creating a situation where multiple shows are competing against each other especially considering the plan is to still keep NBA Countdown. The easier answer would be to find a way to "promote" SVP, which would make the timeslot open.

To the second one, even if they wanted to replace local news they couldn't because of contract stipulations.

I do see why Kenny Smith was apprehensive about the transition and saying how they wished that the four were involved in the negotiations instead of others doing it for them.

It won’t be long before decisions are made and something has to go or be severely altered. I honestly don’t see Inside still being around 5 years from now

The best and ideal option would be to keep Inside the NBA as it seems their years long process of finding a group that sticks. Unfortunately, that would be fukking over current in house talent and someone like SAS as well, so I don’t know what they’ll do and I don’t think they know.

If they didn’t have to worry about SAS and SVP, I think they’d gut it.
