Intermittent Fasting/excercise is the best weight loss tool i've ever done

What do you guys thinking of drinking water before and after the fasts? And any recommended meals/snacks to eat during the window when cutting that can keep me relatively full throughout the day?

For example, tuna fish or peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for lunch acceptable?

30 days update (well 31)

lost a total of 16 pound for now.. waist is down to 35.8 ..at worse i saw 39 before but it was usually 38. so i am back to my usual 181 pound.

not even sure how i got that far (to 38), i ate wayyy too many burgers and hots dogs with juice or cola last summer.

cant wait for the next 30 days, need to use 2.8 more waist size to see a six pack.

:deadmanny: So I’ve never ever fasted before and decided to try this shyt. Typically for me instead of going slowly like any normal person i decided to do a 24hr fast. :heh:

I was around 14hrs, not hungry and felling pretty good when suddenly this dizziness came from nowhere.:damn:

I actually thought i could ride it out but soon realised If i didn’t eat something quickly I’d collapse. I was walking to the food court like a drunk stumbling all over the place and few people even asked me if I was ok. Got something to eat and I’m still felling dizzy. Man, I’m such an idiot. :heh:

I fell off the wagon the last few days but got back on today I think my 20/4 is too much so I’m going to do the IF Monday-Friday And than on the weekends eat 3 meals per day.

U need water to live breh.. water should be the only thing ur drinking during a fast

Getting back on this. Put a good amount of muscle on over the last couple months but I feel heavy. It’s affecting my cardio, working harder than I usually do. So I’m gonna lean out maybe 4-6 pounds.

Are sugar free -zero calorie energy drinks a no go during your fast?? I'm doing 16:8 but I have a desk job so I need that extra caffeine

2 months in today

down 21 pound while having some muscles gains
gut down 4 inches to 34.7 (i read 33 is six pack area)

i probably didnt do as good since the last 3 weeks i had a bunch of stuff to do and only train 3 times a week + not as hard i usually do. still had good progress

still doing 16/8 or 18/6

I gotta get back on this. I'm 238, tyna get down to 200 by the end of year/ beginning of January. Whats crazy is that I was doing this months back and was seeing results. The biggest being in the morning when my mind was clear and I was on some zen type shyt.

I've actually just starting doing this maybe two weeks ago. Because of my work schedule (work 1:30pm - 10pm), my eating window is 4pm-12am...my hungriest hours. During my fasting period, it's only green tea, black coffee, and/or water with a light snack like almonds and such on some days. My only question is, how does alcohol play into this? I like beer but as we all know, it's rich in empty calories so is a few beers, let's say 2 or 3 good...or nah?

I'm asking for a friend, by the way.

Alcohol in my opinion can play a major role in your health. Especially sugary alcoholic drinks such as daiquiris/margaritas. From my perspective before I started going to the gym or trying any type of weight loss regime. I cut out ALL soda's and Alcohol. Eliminating that was a minus of about 6-800 calories per day.

In my situation, I'm about 5'9. so when I was at my heaviest(288) I looked like I was in my 3rd fukking trimester..smh. All of the junk food, soda's, alcohol went to my gut and my face like it does with most men. Another thing I cut is no caffeine, haven't had coffee, sodas, and alcohol since earlier this year. Before I could kill a 12 pack of sodas or beer in about 2-3days by myself.

It also depends on your current height, weight, and Ideal goal. Personally I would say cut it out until you reach your manageable weight because its not good for you, but if you must do it, handle it in moderation...

Started IF JULY 28th at about 260+

And I'm currently 205.....It kinda gets me choked up because when I look at pics of myself when I started this journey, it makes me sad seeing how bad I let myself go... My cousin @31 years old left behind his wife and two kids because he had diabetes, piss poor diet, and had a massive heart attack. Seeing him in that casket in May of this year changed my outlook..

No fancy shyt I did to lose 50+lbs. Just IF, heavy weight lifting, moderate HIIT, but more importantly watching what I eat when I eat= lifestyle changes. I DON'T consider this a "diet" because I will NEVER let myself get back to size again..

What's krazy is even clothes & work scrubs I bought 2-3 months ago are now too big for me. NO BS, I get compliments everyday at work and from family who saw the progression for last 5months.

The only thing now is toning up the flab around my stomach and lower breast plate. I have a lot of stretch marks of course, but I'm still doing IF, heavy weightlifting to continuing toning and cardio to help tighten my skin. NO more high BP, hypertension, pre diabetic.. This thread literally saved my life...:wow:
