It’s doable if you fast/eat right and workout. I lost around 30 in a month doing IF & keto.
how overweight were you and how much of that was water? real shyt, the only folks dropping close to 30 lbs of fat in a month are 100+ pounds overweight, even then, i'm betting half of that is water due to simply changing their eating (fewer carbs + less sodium = water release).

so you expect to lose 40 pounds in 6 weeks? :nahnikka:

I'll adjust as necessary but I've lost 30 pounds in 4.5 weeks using the slow carb diet in the "4 Hour Body" book couple years back. Not impossible, but more important than the scale for me will be body measurements and overall energy. I just know getting down to 200 lbs for me is ideal and "easy" enough for me.

Alcohol in my opinion can play a major role in your health. Especially sugary alcoholic drinks such as daiquiris/margaritas. From my perspective before I started going to the gym or trying any type of weight loss regime. I cut out ALL soda's and Alcohol. Eliminating that was a minus of about 6-800 calories per day.

In my situation, I'm about 5'9. so when I was at my heaviest(288) I looked like I was in my 3rd fukking trimester..smh. All of the junk food, soda's, alcohol went to my gut and my face like it does with most men. Another thing I cut is no caffeine, haven't had coffee, sodas, and alcohol since earlier this year. Before I could kill a 12 pack of sodas or beer in about 2-3days by myself.

It also depends on your current height, weight, and Ideal goal. Personally I would say cut it out until you reach your manageable weight because its not good for you, but if you must do it, handle it in moderation...

*Update*
Started IF JULY 28th at about 260+

And I'm currently 205.....It kinda gets me choked up because when I look at pics of myself when I started this journey, it makes me sad seeing how bad I let myself go... My cousin @31 years old left behind his wife and two kids because he had diabetes, piss poor diet, and had a massive heart attack. Seeing him in that casket in May of this year changed my outlook..

No fancy shyt I did to lose 50+lbs. Just IF, heavy weight lifting, moderate HIIT, but more importantly watching what I eat when I eat= lifestyle changes. I DON'T consider this a "diet" because I will NEVER let myself get back to size again..

What's krazy is even clothes & work scrubs I bought 2-3 months ago are now too big for me. NO BS, I get compliments everyday at work and from family who saw the progression for last 5months.

The only thing now is toning up the flab around my stomach and lower breast plate. I have a lot of stretch marks of course, but I'm still doing IF, heavy weightlifting to continuing toning and cardio to help tighten my skin. NO more high BP, hypertension, pre diabetic.. This thread literally saved my life...:wow:
This post put a smile on my face
Congrats on the work breh

You right bro.

No one 15% body fat or under are dropping 30 pounds in a month... unless you literally starving yourself and lose muscle.

So, from an IF expert's perspective, if you're extremely hungry during your fasting period, what do you snack on? Today is my first day doing it after not doing it for months, and green tea and almonds aren't cutting it. My 'feeding' window is 5pm - 1am, and don't think I'm gonna make it today.

Your feeding window can be as flexible as you want it to be..

The earlier you eat, the better..

Unless you work an active job and time goes by fast

I would get a protein shake if I was you, protein lessens the hunger crave along with the almonds... almonds are overrated because a handful could be Over 300 cals and the proteins in that aren't worth it

Because running on fat as energy brings more benefits then carbs.
:mjlol: this is straight up broscience breh. Y’all reading this trash from blogs that are trying to sell you paleo protein and coconut oil.

Keto has no metabolic advantage over moderate carb or high unrefined carbohydrate diets.

If doing keto makes you feel great, then cool but don’t try to pass it off as science.

I stopped eating on Wednesday evening and didn't eat until this morning.
I lost weight but need to watch my eating after my fast. I seem to yo-yo too much. :(
