This is why I've said I'll be back to Nigeria in 10 years. Take my expertise in the industry here and go back and establish my own businesses. Africa is where it's at.
See, I'm salaried and really, my work hours are more like 8-6:30 ish. And I just started my new gig this week. Factor in about an hour and a half commute and I'm looking at 7:15-7:15 in terms of me being in "work" mode.
I feel like this is why there is an increase in "living for the weekend" you burn out M-F and you just wanna do every thing possible over the weekend.

Then some jobs hit you with overtime. And this includes salaried employees. Do this enough and you're making less than hourly employees. bUt hey at least you got a fancy title.
Ohh trust me, I've had summer internships were I was working on Saturdays while watching soccer games. But see, you have to look at a 9-5 as a means to an end. I'm in a salaried position now but I know it's about gaining the relevant skills to set up my own shop.

I even saw a nikka complaining about a being a cashier. A cashier, bruh
. My younger sister does that. She complains, but that's because she has a shytty attitude.
Every right to complain, a cashier doesn't earn a liveable wage yet has to work 40-50 hour weeks. You'll never hear a firefighter complain, they work around 100-120 days of the year, most still operate under the 24 hour shift with 2 days off right after. They get healthcare and a pension, if they work long enough they get a full paid month off which if you time right means you work 70 days of the year.
