...or should you just call it a life and be single for the duration of your life? I'm 2 months away from the big Four-Oh :flabbynsick::to:

And all 40 year old women, or women 35 and up to be general, just seem to have mad kids, mad attitude, and mad baggage. When I start talking to them and start dealing with their BS, I immediately long for, and go back to, the peace and simplicity of my solitude and bachelor's life:obama:

Fellow old heads :flabbynsick: speak on it. Have you found success in the dating game as you enter middle age, or have you reveled in your singlehood and found other things besides women to occupy your time? Youngstas chime in. Is there a certain cutoff point for you to stop pursuing love, or will you search until the end of your days?:ohhh:

I'm 40.

Still getting better.

Odds of me finding an equal are slim.

But that's ok because being alone isn't a problem when your happiness comes from within.

Your path may be different.

But I'm either gonna find a perfect woman, or ride this wave of peace, quiet, good food, and random p*ssy forever.

That's kinda my attitude towards my situation as well breh. Women are mad distracting and annoying, not to mention a perpetual drain on time, resources, and peace of mind. I get so much more accomplished and my mind is so much more at peace when I'm unattached and uninvolved. I suppress the random pangs of loneliness by listening to music, reading, watching TV or working out. It usually passes after a few days :francis:

@ the bolded....

Couldn't have put it better myself.

Having a woman is like having a child, minus the unconditional love that's induced via biological imperative.

Why are you asking for relationship advise on a forum were the average age is like 27?
At 27, you're a fully developed adult with life experience and should have developed perspective and a fully matured brain. Why wouldn't I seek advice from people like that? Not like I'm asking a bunch of 18 year olds...

Don't worry about the dummies.

Hey man we're men. We can get women much younger than us. Shoot for an early 30 year old.

I intend to settle down at 35 with a late 20 year old.

OP..

Being 40 is still relatively young...

Also, there are women 35+ that are childless. Not everyone has the same story nor does everyone follow the same path through life.

Being single is a choice which could be a good one if one values happiness, peace, financial stability and freedom.

However, I do believe that a 40+ Black man need to think of his health as well as prepare to have a financial safety net so that he can sustain himself when he reach retirement and beyond...
