Dude, all those examples are songs :mjlol:

How is Bobby Womack fukking every women a song?

Anyone claiming that Rnb songs were as vulgar as today is a shameless liar.

Nobody is claiming those musicians were saints ( showbizness always been rotten to the core) but the music was less vulgar and less filled with profanities. Anyone claiming the opposite is lying.

People were killing Ginuwine for that performance last week when the current r&b crowd will be worse when they get older. They’re going to be singing this stuff when they get older and people are going to clown them too.

"Music hasn't gotten more vulgar"

This is a crazy a55 post to me :russ:
This thread is hilarious lol. People be using their 2022 ears to listen to songs from the 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s. If you didn’t grow up in that era you don’t understand. There are people on social media that take old songs and point out shyt you missed or don’t remember that made you go 🤔 It’s all in your face now. shyt is way more vulgar now

You're not teaching me anything about Womack being a POS.

But how are one of these song about him "fukking every women"?

What him having a song about a one night stand had to do with anything? That song ain't even vulgar of full of profanities.

No one said here that RnB singers were saints. I think you're missing the point of the thread.

That same song today by the average mainstream singer will be way more different and full of p*ssy, dikk, side n-word, etc. every 10 sec.

Minnie ripperton was making songs about getting nutted in, Bobby womack was fukking everybody's bytch, bootsy Collins was eating p*ssy, eddie kendricks was serenading his fukk buddy, smokey robinson was fukking a hoe behind his girl back, confunkshun was beefing over the same girl in a game of "love's train", and marvin gaye was turning out Christian girls :mjlol:

Music hasn't gotten more vulgar, artists just don't have to beat around the bush as much because of censorship :yeshrug:

What used to be spoken through innuendo can now be flat out said
The GOAT himself was putting out music like that for years

The shyt is TERRIBLE.

I was in the basement with spotify on shuffle. My lil cousins came downstairs and i quickly changed it to Luther Vandross radio.

"Here and Now" started playing and i felt better about the music i was subjecting the youngstaz to.

Leave the vulgarity to the rap lowlifes

Yea I think this is what some of these dudes are confused about.

R&B is an ADULT THEMED artform. It deals with sex, love, hate, infidelity, , one-night stands, entanglements, etc. That's what R&B is about, BUT it's always been "clean" per se and profanity free, which is the entire point of the thread.

You can literally play a song about cheating or having a one-night stand with the kids in the backseat and the kids have no idea what the song is really about.

You're right. Nobody is saying r&b singers are saints.

I wonder why that is….maybe the music industry pushes them to use more profanity? It’s funny cause if you look at country music it’s completely void of profanity.

Black people dont own or run the music industry.

Your point should remind everyone in here defending the Black music debauchery how the system is rigged against Blacks. Black kids being fed immorality and devil teachings in music to ensure they always remain last in everything.
Honestly, we need a time out from music. No more productions, releases, promos, recordings or whatever till we can figure this mess out.

The first song is literally some shyt he did :skip:

He fukked Sam Cooke's wife and stayed with her after his death

He wore that man clothes and drove his car while fukking his widow and even tried to get with his daughter

But because he ain't call Sam Cooke a bytch ass nikka in the song, I guess that ain't vulgar enough for you :mjlol:
