I'll go with having a strong distaste for how he presents himself.

As far as manhood is concerned, I've been taught that men don't whine and complain when they're done wrong, simply because you aren't the first and you won't be the last. Don't take it personal because more often than not, this isn't a personal attack, he just got the short end of the stick. What you should do as a man, is work towards whatever goal you plan to achieve and make your next offering substantially better than the last. Sometimes good, consistent work goes overlooked but if it is in fact good, then at some point you cannot deny it. He felt this was good enough, which judging by him not getting a nomination, it was not. Try again next time.
