For those with CCNA do you mind saying what salary range that put you in?
A lot of that is location dependent.
Best thing to do is look up your zip code and type CCNA in a job search engine and try to determine the range from novice to expert

Got a technical interview and they said this is what I should look over...

. What is a computer network? (Broad Terms)
2. What is an IP address?
3. How do you open a command prompt in windows?
4. How do you open terminal in mac?
5. What command line command provides the IP address of a Windows computer?
6. What command in terminal provides the IP address of a Mac OSX computer?
7. What is binary? (not too deep, just what it is)
8. What is Hexadecimal? (not too deep, just what it is)
9. What is the difference between TCP and UDP?
10. What does WAN mean? What does LAN mean? (How are they different and how do they work together)
11. Public vs. Private Networks? (How are they different)
12. Private Network Scopes? (There are 3 ranges, can you memorize them and their classes, A, B, C?)
13. What is a Router? What does a home Router do? What is its job?
14. What is a firewall and what does it do?
15. What is NAT (Network Address Translation)?
16. What are virtual Ports?
17. What are the standard port numbers for: FTP, SSH, Telnet, HTTP (Regular Web Traffic), HTTPS, DNS, POP3, SMTP? (Can you memorize them?)
18. What does the following protocols do in computers: FTP, Telnet, SSH, HTTP, HTTPS, DNS, POP3, and SMTP.
19. How does DNS work?
20. What is a DOS vs. DDOS?

That's mostly stuff you'd find studying for the Net+ right? With a little Sec+ material trickled in. I've only done Sec+ but I don't recall seeing much of this on there.

So should I just look over Net+ stuff in the meantime?

Pretty sure if you google them, you'll get a big ass quizlet page with all the answers lol

Yeah just google the questions and most likely you'll get youtube videos of mothafukas in front of a white board that can draw and explain everything in a few minutes.

When I passed the Net+ it was easier understanding everything better from video then reading.

Yeah basic Net+ and A+ stuff.
As fir the 17, just print out a list of common porn numbers and just say it, you won't know these off the bat unless you do a lot of network analysis anyway.
The rest you can easily find in net+ or google searches.

Good luck man, be confident when you answer the questions.

I have to learn to go with my first mind on these practice tests. I’ll overthink it and the answer I originally was going to pick will be the correct one.

Goodness there is soooooo much free knowledge on the internet its ridiculous. I really slept this last year on the skills I could have gotten.

You can learn online for free and during your free time at work, ask to work on a side project to actually put your skills to the test. There's no such thing as wasted knowledge even if you want to own your own shop.

I'm plugging away on this SQL course online. 2019 finna be my year.

:wow:
