Have you reached out to the person you interviewed with to inquire about the status of the position?

Crazy you ask that because i got a call today from the talent specialist from the job i interviewed for saying the job had been filled(interviewed in February). But she and a different supervisor want to meet with me tomorrow afternoon about the same position so wish me luck brehs

So the meeting went good i asked them what about me made them reach back out to me and the talent specialist pretty much wanted me to get me in front of the people who are the higher ups for that position. I feel like they were impressed with the fact i mentioned my certs(I'm working on my Net+). Again i ain't getting my hopes up but i am hopeful this time around.

Brehs question.. what is a suitable time frame for a tech company(telecom so on so forth) to get back in contact with you about a job offer or a rejection letter?? The company I had applied for paying me more here hasn't gotten back in contact with me about the job after my 2nd interview with them although it states that I am "under consideration".

How long has it been? I just moved from Houston to Austin for a tech job and this company was very prompt in responding. They made me an offer 3 days after my on-site interview. I interviewed with Dell the same day as my new job and it took them 15 days just to send me the next step in the application process after the interview. There are different variables for each company.

Studying for my Security+ currently, however my A+ expires in a few weeks.

I don't think its worth it to pay to renew it at this point as my experience now outweighs it tremendously. But I'd love to keep it listed on my resume. Does anyone list expired certs on their resume?

Don't bother with the A+. You can list it if you want, I've rarely had an employer actually check to see if my certification is valid besides the job I recently accepted but that's probably because it's on my Linkedin. Just get the Sec+ and forget about the A+.

man my first time using it was yesterday to do some labs in the CCNA in 60 days book . Then i watched some YouTube about VLANs and he was using Packet Tracer too. I'd say ASAP is the best time. I have hardware but I couldve saved some $$ because this program is crack!
