unfortunately no. most of my family are nurses or general laborers. May I ask for some examples of recruiting firms that I could possibly reach out to?There isn't anyone in your family or immediate circle that works in IT already? Most people I know got their first start by someone hand delivering their resume to a hiring manager.
I would reach out to a recruiting firm over any kind of career coach. Because the recruiting firm only gets paid if they find you employment.
When I got my first break I had to relocate to a smaller city because of too much competition for jobs. Then once I got some experience I was able relocate back to a major market. You may have to deal with a longer commute in order to get noticed.
Networking goes a long way in this field for those without tons of experience. So make sure you're on a first name basis with a minimum of 5 or 6 people already working in the cybersecurity field. And I don't just mean interacting with them online.
on first attempt.

might have to relocate. Canada is terrible for IT as they bring in so much cheap labor from india and Asia. Wages an job opportunities are much lower there than it is in the US.
