I'm taking night classes

I just started my A+ night classes too this week. I was disappointed too see the textbook doesn't follow the same order as the exam objectives. But thankfully, there's a dedicated page that breaks down the corresponding textbook chapters for each exam objective subdomain AND there's another set of pages that breaks down the each corresponding sections of textbook chapters for each exam objective subdomain subsection. With that info, I can pretty much skip reading the book outside of class & just watch the corresponding Professor Messer video.

So today Google annouced a new IT cert & scholarship program to go with it:

I was just reading the the cirrulculm for this cert: Google IT Support Professional Certificate | Coursera

This new Google cert isn't comparable to a professional IT cert, it's comparable to graduating with a IT AAS degree or undergraduate certificate from your local community college.

Applied for the scholarship for the google cert this morning.

I just got an email today saying that I was approved.

Medical coding is a good field, if you like working at home. Once you get your time in you banking, plus you can do it part time, which has me interested.

Already have a Bachelor's in IT.....had a few certs....let them expire..5 years experience working....

Should I get more certs or go for a Master's degree (Information Systems and Services)?

Mostly Desktop Support...I kinda am open to any job (non-CS stuff)...security is big in my area but also networking as well

Just got a raise for having my certs brehs account manager called asking where I was on getting them.
I hit her with the I been had it. You could hear her go It's a small increase from 15 to 18 but it's big to me

I felt underprepared but that was my fault.

I was supposed to do a review 2 weeks before on my downtime at work but somebody quit on us first week of January so I ended up looking last minute stuff the day before

Which certs did you have? It sounds like you should be pursuing new certs instead. Since Security & Networking is your area, you should consider pursuing CCNA & Security+

• Udemy ACloudGuru course on my down time at home.
• The official certification book for reading at work
• Jayendrapatil.com for all the FAQ references
