HR lady told me it was between me and another guy and honestly she kinda got my hopes up kept telling me "Oh the hiring manager really really likes you the team thought you were amazing". Even when she told me i wasnt going to get it she still told me that bullshyt
Guess i didnt quite fit the culture
But its all good time to go harder now

I had a situation like that where i actually interviewed with the hiring manager first and they liked me and then made me come on site for some role play/case study interview
I didnt get the role but they said if i was open for taking the lower level role i can come back in for an the lower level case study
Im like
1.if the person id report to likes me hell yall got me doing any other interviews? Shoulda did the dumb case study first (case study didnt even have anything to do with the career nor did they ask any relevant industry questions).
2. If yall liked me but not at the level i interviwed why not just offer me the job at the lower level especially since i did the harder intwrview

the whole interview process is very silly at times to meIts hard to tell what these guys are thinking at times
Basically i know what these bigger companies are looking for skillset wise now
All it means to me is Its back to grind season
