It’s time to have an honest conversation about the Jamaican sprinters.

People are legit stupid. Tim Montgomery was juiced to the fukking gills taking undetectable anabolic roids (aka the clear) and set the world record at 9.78. You had two dudes run essentially that time in these goddamn Olympics and you think they did it clean? :mjlol:

They cycled on and off designer peds like ALL of the sprinters do.

I don’t think some of you understand that bio mechanically there is a limit to how humans can sprint. Theirs is a limit how fast you can run individually naturally no matter how fast you are, and to break that threshold you need “help.”

At the 1924 Olympic Games, the winning time for the men’s 100m dash was 10.6. A HUNDRED fukkING YEARS of innovation, training methods, nutrition, tracks designed to make you faster, shoes designed to make you faster, etc. And the winning time this year in the men’s 100m is LESS than 1 second from 1924 (0.81).

We’ve reached the human limit in terms of natural speed. In order to run sub 10 seconds 100s regularly, you need help. In order to beat the dudes who are also getting help, you need help.

All of them juice. You basically have to. You also
have to be pretty lazy/stupid to get caught. Bolt is still the greatest sprinter ever, but some of you are living in some kinda lala land.

smh just like big men can shoot the 3 at 40% which was rare and unheard of even ten years ago people evolve

Training has evolved to be faster, more intense, and smarter. As the popularity of track grows, the talent pool expands, and the standards rise. Speed-focused training is becoming increasingly widespread, driven by advances in technology and knowledge.

You even see it inn countries that were not traditionally sprinting powerhouses. Today, most people with a smartphone can capture slow-motion videos of their running form—something that, just a decade ago, required high-end cameras and specialized software. Many places, especially in developing countries, previously lacked access to such equipment. The improvement in training methods, supported by scientific advancements, has led to enhanced athletic performances.

That 16 year old American that won gold in the relays...is he doping? Some people are freaks. Just because you can't comprehend how someone like LeBron for example is the best player at 39 doesn't mean your mind has to go into overdrive

That’s an asterisk by the way :francis:

When discussing Flo Jo, it’s widely accepted that her world record times are because of steroids, when discussing Bolt they act is it’s because he was naturally that much faster.
He was. Was breaking 200 and 400m records long before. The only thing not scrutinised is that no one thought he was a 100m runner.

Again, the training has evolved, but humans have not evolved biomechanically. Again, we aren’t even a full second faster than a fukking 100 years ago with dudes running in cobbler shoes on dirt tracks.

All these dudes juice. Deal with it.

Y'all just cheated a lot and got caught. Period.
The hilarious thing, is that especially in the Men's, there are more US cheaters in sprinting than Jamaican ones...but you all throw your stones

Carl Lewis
Tim Montgomery
Dennis Mitchell
Leroy Burrell
Christian Coleman
Tyson Gay
Justin Gatlin
Erriyon Knighton

Now name the sprinter in that group who wasn't caught cheating....

I'll wait.

We want to go into the ones that got exemptions even though they were caught and have never been punished as well?

Exactly all throughout history there have been exceptional humans. Even at the olympics the times these swimmers swim, or simone biles how she moves, or a tennis player excelling, its funny how its only jamaican sprinters that people look at side eye

Sifan hassan ran 5,000, 10,000 (bronze in both) and then set the olympic record in a marathon I guess she's juicing as well right?

Now let's do Jamaica. Mind you now I am not even listing them all. These are just the ones I know off the top of my head:

Yohan Blake
Asafa Powell
Nesta Carter
Steve Mullings
Christopher Taylor quit rather than be tested.
Shelly Anne Frayser
Sherone Simpson
Merelene Ottey
