I've had 2 of my closest friends tell me how they feel UNFULFILLED in Life.

You guys need to have kids and get married. Running around only worried about yourself gets old after a while

These folks probably just needa travel more and experience more. I’d hate life too after 20 years of living the average Joe Schmo routine.

:yeshrug: it's all relative breh.

Some would say having an SO and maybe even kids (I don't put children on anyone, it can get rough) gives them a reason to travel, and experience new things. Others are cool with doing it on their own.

But I bet, any nikka that travels alone and does that shyt is probably content anyway :ld:

All I cared about was learning what was going on existentially. I figured it out in my early 20s. Absolute Infinity. I’be been lost since (and was before too). I don’t even have any real goals anymore other than acquiring material goods. I’ve already accomplished my life goal. What to do now? How do you beat out infinity? Is it even possible? I dunno :patrice:

So I get to thinking about my own life, in my late 30s, no kids, no wife, my career is going good. I guess I feel unfulfilled too, but it doesn't bother me because I've always had low expectations. It's not a bad thing because I do work somewhat hard and very wisely and I was be happy with the outcome. Honestly my expectations were so low and feel like I've overachieved. I think people get depressed because they don't feel like they're doing some special. But a majority of humans are just regular everyday people.

How do yall deal with feelings of unfulfillment and not really having a purpose?
This is something I've dealt with myself. One huge downside of being an ambitious driven person is that we're rarely satisfied and always want more. A big thing that helped me was traveling. He forced me to take time to sit back and appreciate all that I've accomplished and all that I have going good in my life. Some friends of mine would hear me complain and basically tell me to STFU and how happy they'd be to have my life. Which the irony is that in a lot of ways the reason they don't have my life is because they would've settled and been happy a long time ago while I can't stop grinding.

Unfortunately, many people never outgrow that mindset, even with kids hence the deadbeats or neglecting and uninvolved parents. That's probably consistent in the difference between people that view kids as a liability or added expense, and those who see them as an asset or investment into the future. Like others have suggested, I'd say selfishness plays a large role in feeling unfulfilled. That and the importance placed on accumulating material shyt

Circling the globe smashin foreign broads gets old after a while.

I also got friends that spend an hour sitting in their car when they pull-up to the driveway to have peace before they walk thru the door to face a nagging wife and rowdy kids.

You ultimately just have to find what makes you happy. There's no right or wrong way to do it.

But funny af to see #GMB usually get triggered heavy in these types of threads :mjlol:
