Kobe beat 24 FIFTY win teams in the playoffs...I think the next closest is MJ

If Kobe didn't tear his achilles, he'd be #1 all time scorer, #1 all time playoff scorer, and that's on top of everything else

This is all fair but two questions:

1. Why is it that when any player besides Mike is floated as equal or greater than Kobe, dudes trip?

2. Do you see a major gap between Kobe and Steph? Remember there's absolutely nothing Kobe can do to improve his historical standing, which I guess has proven to not matter to some people, but there's plenty Steph can do to improve his...

There is a gap between the 2. Kobe went through the same thing Steph did, but Kobe won more titles to solidify his standing in history

Insignificant posting from an insignificant poster
Why doesn't Jalen wear his wedding ring anymore

Something is up

Modern middle eastern women... the streets they belong to.

I know first hand.

Had to learn the hard way.

New Age Feminism is something they want to demonstrate... even if it means compromising your cultures/values and identity.

They're just contemporary floozies the way seen it as I.

I have Zeke 2nd myself. :ld:

Dude played against and beat LEGENDARY ALL TIME teams in the Celts and Lakers of the 80s.:yeshrug:
Again Zeke said himself he couldn’t do what Steph is doing but the fact both of them beat the giants in their era he got nothing but respect for Steph.

Steph ain't better either

I think Steph is a top 15 to 20 player of all time, but there are levels

Kobe gave Mike & Scottie 33 at 19 yrs old...Kobe scored 40+ in 9 straight games...Kobe scored 62 in 3 qtrs...Kobe scored 50+ in 4 straight games...Kobe was closing playoff games at 21

Steph is a fantastic player, but he's not on Kobe's level...I have MJ & Kob as 1 & 2...as a hooper, I understand the skill it took to do what they do consistently

Teams drafted and signed Kobe stoppers to defend him...if that doesn't speak volumes, Idk what will

There is a gap between the 2. Kobe went through the same thing Steph did, but Kobe won more titles to solidify his standing in history

No I agree there's a gap, I just don't think it's a large one. Each year Steph extends his prime, and if he goes on deep playoff runs, he closes that gap...

Steph is better than IT

Kobe is currently better than Steph

But Steph can get into the top 10 and surpass him depending on how these next couple years shape up

He should get another MVP, and a ring this year - this Warriors team is good, but not a super team. So that's important, since Kobe got 2 without Shaq on teams that weren't great

Zeke is the better point guard. Steph is the more accomplished basketball player.
I respectively disagreed. Steph's legacy games in the playoffs has put him over Zeke.

He scored 17 pts in overtime versus the Blazers in the 2016 playoff semifinals that's an unbroken NBA record.
He broke Reggie Millers 3 point records in the 2015 playoffs
He scored scored 32 points in the second half vs the Rockets in a close out game after going scoreless in the first half
Close out the Thunder with a 36 point performance in game 7 of the WCF. The Warriors came back from a 3-1 deficit.
Broke the 3point record in NBA 2018 finals

Curry is a head of IT in playoffs performance

2 more titles...deep playoff runs aren't enough

I can respect that this is your opinion; I disagree though...

Personally I think one more title as a #1 will probably draw him equal to Bean overall, because Bean only has two titles as a #1 himself--->and I'm using "only" very generically, as the list of players who've won 2+ titles as the best player on championship teams is crazy small; its only 15 guys in the history of the NBA:

Bill (8); Mike (6); Mikan (5); LeBron and Duncan (4); Kareem, Magic, Bird, and Shaq (3); and Wilt, Kobe, KD, Dream, Zeke, and Cowens all won twice as the team's best player...

With the exceptions of Mikan, Zeke, and Cowens, the other 12 guys to win multiple titles as #1s are universally considered Top 15, so winning multiple rings as The Guy puts you in a rarefied air of greatness. If Steph is already Top 20, the elevation he takes with another ring as The Guy would be insane...

And he's still clearly playing as a dominant player...

Kawhi and Giannis are on this same watch as me, neither are quite as high historically as Steph currently but they both have the opportunity to close the gap on All-Timers in front of them by leading another title run...

For the record, Kobe is around the 10th-greatest player historically to me, give or take a spot. Everyone I have in front of him won more chips as #1s besides Wilt; everyone I have in front him were more dominant postseason players in their prime; and everyone I have in front of him were multiple time league MVPs...

Steph hasn't reached that Kobe level yet but he's not far off and I'm not mad at anyone who throws it out there, because you can see a window where it's possible...
