As a nikka from the hood I could relate to Em all too well on a lot of shyt.

Jay was speaking on places where you might have wanted to go but he came out the gate on some mafioso shyt...I grew up in the crack house, I never got the that side of the experience. No champagne, no cigars, nice cars, none of that shyt.

"But I got a daughter to feed, and 200 dollars ain't enough to water the seed"

That's familiar to me, regardless of skin tone.
The anti-eminem talking points on here are on another level :whew:

You can relate to Eminem's middle aged ass making anthems for bullied 12 yr olds with tracks like I'm not afraid.

:mjlol:

Get that corny trash out of here..
I'd take not afraid over "I made the Yankee hat more famous than a Yankee can"

It is he makes trash immature content fit for preteens

There's a reason his replay value is lacking and his biggest impact on the culture is in record sales. Dude had a whole career in rap music but was never a part of the culture or a fixture in the venues where the music is played. The only time I've ever heard Eminem's music in public has been at a bar with a jukebox and a cac played that shyt. This coming from a former dj and promoter is quite telling.

You really don't know the culture to try to out jay ahead of Eminem culturally
Eminem is amore culturally commendable artist in every way when compared to jay.
Jay has never done shyt for the culture.
Except rehash culturally damning and
Culturally jay is biggest scourges to rap history behind puff and ahead of sugar hill records.
There is no way to champion jay over Eminem culturally in hip hop, period

Smiley responses expose you have no facts and no cultural more or norm.
to aid you in this discussion to combat the fact about jay lack of technical skill.
Especially, incomparison to Eminem of all artist.

Jay has never spit on em level consistently since 98 till now.
As, renegade still sets the precedent for how much more skilled em is than jay.

nikkaz are tweak'n and also showing they don't know emcee'n at all. to even speak on the topic of actual skills.
The responses in this thread that are pro jay are based on like and not on actual skills emcee'n.

You may not like eminem but factually Eminem is a better emcee than jay.

nikka. Again. We talking about music. Not technical skills. This ain't slam poetry

Rap nice all you want with trash music and guess what? Nobody will PLAY it cause they don't like the music. The songs. The album.

So again. Yes em can out rap nikkas. But his MUSIC fell off from what it was. His music was on 1000000000 on infinite, sslp, mmlp... Went a little down for em show.

But when he got off them drugs. It became straight silly white boy music and beats. shyt wasn't getting no play with the same nikkas you idolize. Same rappers you claim know the culture and are technically great, weren't putting none of those trash albums on any lists.

shyt I bet you if em put his albums in order, his latest joints wouldn't grace top 3

As much as I hated Em's last 2 albums, I despised BP3 out of a few songs and felt Magna Carta was on some pseudo elitist bullshyt that was bloated to the point that it unbecoming even of Jay-Z. Now lyrically Jay can turn it on and off when he feels like it but it's too few and far between for me. I have to agree with the OP to an extent.
