I think it also depends on the team's record and wether or not we can convince another team to take Simons' contract off our hands and go after another quality big man. If we are a playoff team, and we get front court help, JT will try and comeback.

I got a feeling Tatum will try to make a comeback regardless. He looks dead set on it

He was on First Take saying things like "My team will hold the fort down till I comeback"

I'll say the end of March or Early April barring any setbacks, or God forbid re-injury.
I've been steady saying that he should at least gun for playing the last 15 games of the season. That way he'll be 100% more confident in his body, and knows what to work on for the 2026 summer, and eventually the 26-27 season

He should just follow what KD did and take the entire season off.

Right idea but circumstances also helped with that one. Tatum is at the right age where he should be fine to resume playing at 8-9 months post injury/surgery. The older the athlete I.e. post athletic peak 29-30 it should be a little bit longer. Someone like Dame shouldnt be seen till Oct 2026. The 5-6 months recovery and playing again doesn't really work out.

:ehh: I tore my Achilles when I was younger. It’s amazing what they can do now. I still wouldn’t rush it

Why not just wait? Celtics aren’t doing anything this season regardless.
