Joel Embiid smirking after another 2nd round exit: "Like someone (Giannis) said its not a failure, its steps to success"

Has Giannis' quote done more harm?

Da funk, did he really say that shyt? Is it taken out of context? :dahell:

Harris (7-13 for 19 points) and Maxey (5-12 for 17 points) were the leading scorers in this game and even P.J. Tucker (4-7 for 11 points) outscored Harden's useless choking ass.

The Seum spent all season gassing these two sorry ass nxggas as MVP, alternating back and forth between them both just to keep an agenda alive, only for them to crash out of the playoffs in embarrassing fashion and talk about their respective seasons on some TED Talk participation trophy shyt.

Ugh.
:mjlol: at this bullshyt, you have absolutely NO credibility posting this hypocrisy
Nothing about that post is hypocritical. That is what took place this season. I'm not the only one who has pointed this out, so unless your trolling ass is going to accuse a whole bunch of posters of being hypocritical, what is it you're doing here other than begging for my attention after I've embarrassed you for the last decade?

Better yet, because I know your response is going to be unadulterated nonsense, why don't we ask @Llcoolbay and @Guess Who?

this is what happens when the media makes a concerted effort to deny someone an MVP. Every defensive mistake Jokic made was scrutinized to make Embiid look better. Morons like Kendrick Perkins were making the whole shyt about race and playoff success when Jokic has been more successful

No, they were responding to double standards. I like Joker but you a$$holes can’t just leave shyt alone. That argument had nothing to do with Joker.

Bullshyt but this is good for sixers fans to hear because it means he probably won't request a trade in the short term
Concerning part is him bigging up the dude who had 9 points in a must win game :picard:

Ain't got shyt to do with "double standards".

That was one of the many bullshyt stories y'all were using to convince yourselves of whatever agenda y'all had. Y'all even got tricked by Perkins (whose two braincells are more than all y'all had as a collective) into thinking he was fighting the good fight, and then he turns around and pulls off his costume and starts rallying behind Jokic, proclaiming him the best player in the league, all the while you dumbass muh'fukkas are left to pick up the pieces of Embiid's embarrassing playoff exit.

The whole cotdamn thing was one big ass shytstain that has become NBA discourse.

nah. jokic was heavy scrutinized to make embiid look better. Perkins clown ass fukked up the convo even more. on top of that, Mark Jackson left Jokic completely off the MVP vote.

I don’t think there’s a player in the NBA whose failures give me more pleasure than Embiid. For someone who’s pretty much always the biggest guy on the court, he plays such a bytch ass allergic to the playoffs brand of basketball, it’s honestly so confusing to me how he has ANY fans outside of Philly and I don’t get how that fan base can stand him either. How can you be appreciative of his game when he plays like that? How can folks look at him throw his body to the ground like a drunk toddler after every play with some of the most pathetic flops around and have any respect for his game? I DO NOT GET IT.

fukk Embiid. Can’t wait for him to do it all again next year :ohlawd:

I agree. The media fan boys didn’t bash Jokic for failing miserably the past two years, so the same should go for Embiid.

Trust the process
What are you talking bout? Nuggets had no Murray and MPJ for two postseasons.

If Embiid had to carry his team without Harden and Maxey, with Tobias being his best option, then no one would say a thing about Sixers going home early.

I actually agree with Giannis in a general sense that you can't view every time you don't win a championship as a failure...but it's a failure when you as the top seed lose to a team that barely made it into the playoffs. And said loss gets your coach fired. That's an undeniable failure. You know what's also a failure? Being up 3-1 in a series and losing.

There's definitely a strain of NBA players who want to quote Kobe like the bible yet aren't about that life at all. You can't be so reactionary and scared of perceived criticism that you run away, like Durant and many other players do. They claim the criticism is irrelevant, they claim losses don't matter to them, they claim nothing is a disappointment etc. This is clearly a coping mechanism because they're too afraid to express disappointment or face failure.

Giannis quote was dumb af and he should've caught more heat for it but because he's the media and fan darling they just rolled with it.

He's the consensus best player in the world (not for me) and his team were the #1 seed against a play in team and they got their asses bust and he's talking about how it's not a failure and how it's all about to steps to success. FOH :camby:

Less corny shyt in the media and go work on your handles and free throws
