I just think people are overstating the longterm impact Iverson has.
I mean Ja Rule and 50 cent were huge at one point too.
Also maybe im nuts but I dont quite remember the Questions being a super must have.
And Allen Iverson wasn't a fad. There is a huge cultural and basketball impact on what he did. Jordan was huge, but Jordan was also a perfect squeaky clean image. Allen Iverson was not, and that worked to his advantage to appeal to those just like him. When that A5 commercial with Jadakiss came out, I can remember people buying those sneakers off the strength of that one commercial. It wasn't even just sneakers. It was jerseys, fitteds, shirts. You even had guys stanning his tattoos like Tyson Chandler.
As far as LeBron, the only sneakers I ever remember people anticipating were his first ones, and they were lame so people weren't checking for them as much afterwards
