Yes they do.

Your trolling is :flabbynsick: status.

t's always hard to gauge sales of a shoe since Nike [NKE 107.48 -0.04 (-0.04%) ] doesn't release the quantity of shoes that it makes or sales figures, but Nike spokesman Derek Kent did tell CNBC that the company was happy with the early returns of the LeBron 8.

Nike might not release their sales, but they sales are known to the public.

That's like Universal Records don't release their album sales, but those album sales are known to the public.

Exactly.

I never heard about LeBron shoes selling out of stock in shoe stores like Jordans and The Answers.

nah. white kids were certainly down.

I just think people are overstating the longterm impact Iverson has.

I mean Ja Rule and 50 cent were huge at one point too.

Also maybe im nuts but I dont quite remember the Questions being a super must have.

Nobody said the shyt was longterm, every era has their icons and those icons fade away after time but at no point in his career has Lebron been a bigger star than Allen Iverson was for those 7-8 years.

This argument is like saying Drake is bigger than DMX was back in the day.

Bron was treated as once in a lifetime so its certainly possible.

If AI signed with Nike, where do you think he's brand would be now?

Seeing as big as his shoes were on Reebok, I truly believe it would've been bigger than Bron's.

Nike was OK being outbid back then (see Kobe with Adidas, Grant Hill with Fila) cuz they had the holy grail MJ. In 2004, there was no company that was gonna outbid Nike for Bron, in 96, converse might've done it.

LeBron = rapper with 5 platinum albums
AI = rapper who sold 20 million with two albums

AI may not have been that dude for that long but, Bron will never come close.

And Allen Iverson wasn't a fad. There is a huge cultural and basketball impact on what he did. Jordan was huge, but Jordan was also a perfect squeaky clean image. Allen Iverson was not, and that worked to his advantage to appeal to those just like him. When that A5 commercial with Jadakiss came out, I can remember people buying those sneakers off the strength of that one commercial. It wasn't even just sneakers. It was jerseys, fitteds, shirts. You even had guys stanning his tattoos like Tyson Chandler.

As far as LeBron, the only sneakers I ever remember people anticipating were his first ones, and they were lame so people weren't checking for them as much afterwards
