Not surprised to hear JR weighing in on this. He doesn't even have a contract for a third year. And he's "only" making $3M a year right now. I'm sure he and others look at Jeremy Lin and think I'm better than him; why am I not getting paid like that?

I want to know exactly where youre going with this comment. The Knicks cant win with melo but Lin is worth more to the Knicks because Lin is more marketable for the simple fact that he's asian? So what is it? Winning, making money, or winning AND making money. And tell me how Melo "aint never winning shyt" for the Knicks. Youre probably the same kind of persont o say Lebron was never going to win. And the championship is not Melos to win or lose. Its the TEAMs. Jordan has really fukked up yall nikkas perception of winning championships and even he didnt do it alone. He had Scottie, so I wanna know where this logic truly breeds from.

Do you honestly think the Knicks can win a championship with Carmello Anthony?

The Knicks were in the playoffs before Melo got here, and with him here they damn near got swept. So they aren't winning more with him so far.

It's a fact that Lin was getting more people to watch the Knicks, selling jerseys and t-shirts . He had the #2 selling jersey in the league at one point. We all know his sponsorship deals in NY would be lined up and the overseas money from him is a whole other issue

How you gonna ROFL with a hollow back?
and he didn't even have to bring up race.

That's because it aint about race to me, could care less about what color these dudes is. I'm not black or Asian, don't feel any kinship when white ballers get big money, don't care. The NBA is too friendly nowadays, mutha fukkers are so quick to dap up other players and shyt after losses and wins, when it is a team game. You supposed to have your team mates support regardless, these same mother fukkers are dumb quick to look out for the interests of they friends in the NBA, even on other teams. The shyt don't make sense at all to me. I work with people that I dislike everyday, doesn't mean I should go public and throw salt on em.

i dont think you guys realize how truly ridiculous that contract is...
in 2014-15, Jeremy Lin will be 26, making $15 million...

The following pgs (not on their rookie scales) won't...
Rajon Rondo (29 yo, 12 million)
Tony Parky (33 Yo, 12 million)
Mike Conley Jr. (27 yo. 9 million)

This is not counting players like wall and irving who will be on the their rookie deals...

pgs like Brandon Jennings and Steph Curry (players in Lin's "generation") will have to extend their deals and will probably be making around 10-12 that year as well...

which leaves elite pgs like Westbrook, Rose and Paul... who will all most likely be making that type of money that year... (deron williams definitely will)

now please tell me, what player wouldn't call out a team for doing something so ridiculous?!?!

A player on a team that understands team concept and supports the players union.

JR Smith has been reckless with words and actions his entire career, what's new?

And the same way people are defending Lin's right to "finesse" the situation, if he was black plenty would be openly calling him disloyal and demanding to know how he could be so arrogant to think he deserved that much money after barely proving anything, and saying he should be humbled that the team even gave him a shot when he was almost out of the league.

I don't understand this. He's suppose to play for pennies? He's not suppose to get the most paper he can get? This is part of what Emp is talking about. I never seen a situation where dudes both players and fans are going ham on a dude tryna make as much cake as he can. Where is this arrogance you speak of? What would have made Lin loyal in your eyes? The Knicks were the ones who told him to go looking for a deal :pachaha:. The team can't ask you to seek out a deal than get mad as fukk when it's too rich for your blood. You make an offer first and than put the decision on him, that way you can see all that loyalty bullshyt.

That's immediately evident. Either improve your reading comprehension or don't bother engaging me. I don't care about Lin getting money from the Rockets or Knicks.
