I lost my mother to breast cancer in 2018. She was in remission for almost a decade prior to the cancer coming back. The sting is gone but the emptiness I feel from her being gone is still there. She was absolutely my best friend and confidant.

What helps me is to think of all the wonderful times we had together. She overcame so much and was still so kind and loving to everyone. I pray you find peace during your time of grief. This too shall pass.

When my mom passed away I watched a lot of stand up comedy.
My mom was a big stand up comedy fan, so it was a way to honor her memory.
The other reason because laughter distracts from the pain on some days.

I know it's rough right now OP, but keep your head up. You'll get through this
That’s a good idea. My dad loved battle rap and watching our Celtics…those games and battles gonna mean that much more.

Sorry for your lost.

My experience you never really get use to it

the feeling is like a deep cut or lost limb stuck with your whole life just adapt having that feeling it’s gonna stay with you.

but always remember the good times with them.
