My fault, I was just talking about being able to score from anywhere on the the court and array of offensive moves.

Didn't know we were talking about athletic ability as well.
Running the floor exceptionally and getting easy buckets in transition is a part of offensive scoring, no?

Don't know if it's been said but KD doesn't need a back to the basket game. You know why? Cuz he can pull up from 30. :comeon:

The best scorers either have a post game, a jumper, or some combination of both. Think of total scoring ability equaling 1. Shaq would have 1.0 for post and 0.0 for jump shooting while Jordan might have .65 post and .35 jump shooting. Feel me lol? Well KD's jumper is like .95, aka wet.

For KD to be in the post that means he's not beyond the 3 point line and I like my KD beyond the 3 point line. That way he's a quadruple threat, not just drive, pass, shoot, but shoot the 3 also. Putting him on the block means no 3 opportunity at all for one of the all time great shooters.

Saying KD has no post game is like saying Shaq had no jumper. Who gives a fukk? :yeshrug:

KD takes too long to get the ball. It becomes more and more obvious when he's in the playoffs and the opposing team knows what plays for him are being called. Comparing him to Shaq is retarded. Shaq was an over 60% shooter from the low blocks. KD is not from anywhere. He needs to add a plan B to his game and make it easier for his team by posting up.

you think he can mimic some of Dirk with an offseason of work?

Posting up takes him away from his most effective spot. A spot very few people can call comfort. And I never compared him to Shaq. I compared his dominance on the perimeter to Shaq's dominance on the block. BTW... 10 two point shots @ 60% is 12 points. 10 three point shots @ 40% is 12 points. Now comparing and giving equal value to 3 point baskets and chippies, as you just did, that's what retarded.

You couldn't stop Shaq form shooting 60 + %. Second....your math is just retarded and has no place here. :heh: Point is, Kevin allows himself to get denied the ball trying to run through screens and get freed up. Giving his team an option to just dump it into him would be helpful.

I don't see how and why anyone would argue this.

You can't stop Shaq down low just like you can't stop KD's jumper. They're both unstoppable from those respective shots. Should Shaq have ventured to 3 point land? What would be the point if he's already dominating? Should KD play down low? What's the point if he's already dominating? To the tune of 4 out of 5 scoring titles.

And then you're gonna argue mathematics? :heh:

Good day, sir.

While I don't necessarily disagree with your og point, this thread seems over reactionary. Who else in the playoffs can defend him like Memphis? As it is they're "holding" him to 34 ppg on over 50% shooting.

And I think it would be easier to trap and/or deny him the ball if he tried to post up due to his lack of physical stature.

I don't care who you are, jump shots aren't going to fall as often as shots from the low post.

I think Leonard at San Antonio could give him the same type of fits.

Here's the thing. The problem isn't his shooting percentage...its that he could have taken at least 7 or 8 moire shots had he not been denied the ball. I don't think teams would be able to trap or deny him the ball knowing he had so many ways to score in his tool box. He needs that.

Yeah but 3 point shots are worth more. 60% from 2 yields the same amount of points as 40% from 3. 6/10=12 just like 4/10=12. Equal dominance.
Nah. What's not in your stat loving is how where you score from opens up the entire offense. KD gets any sort of low post game, everyone has it easier as a result of it.
