League has been kinda open for the last few years with Bron and Steph on a slow decline and needs someone waiting, and Ant seemingly has been the most ideal to slot in all things considered except his BM situation, which I don't think is completely unsalvagable.

Nothing to do with being crowned "The face of the league". Thats just some foolishness talking heads came up with so they can prop up certain players and diminish others.

The popular players rise to the top. Companies gravitate towards them because they are profitable. They get more airtime on major events because they draw viewers.

The average NBA casual is only really a big fan of 1, maybe 2 players at a time. Once Bron and Steph finally leave, there will be alot more room for the younger players to shine.
