TYRONE GA!
I can't wait for some July 2037 fukkery when the Akron Nets owner LeBron "LeGM" James gets mad and ends his long-time friendship with Hall of Fame player turned TV analyst Dwyane Wade, over Wade's harsh words about Nets' horrible choice to draft big time busts Kwame Brown Jr. and Marco Bargnani with back to back top 5 picks :troll:

Put some gray hair on that smiley with a bald Bron head and it would be perfect!!! :russ:

Its been in the works for q long time. Gilbert has a casino empire growing in northeast Ohio and it was rumored that he already can't wait to sell the cavs to lebron as well as the rumor that they already planned this upon the return of lebron. I've heard the cavs being well above the luxury tax the past three seasons has not made gilbert the happiest NBA owner.

I been saying this shyt for a while, dude will OWN that STATE when it's all said and done. He will hav some sort of ownership in ALL of their teams just off the strength of his name. He will have political power just because of his name, he could endorse mayors and congressman right now and half of the people in that state would follow just because he is LeBron. Dude has been setting himself up his entire career for life after basketball. I really believe that he looks forward to that more than actually playing basketball. He just comes off to me as more of a business man than a basketball player.

Dan Gilbert wants the Pistons. He had a voice in moving them to downtown from Auburn Hills. Gilbert has been trying to revitalize Detroit for awhile. Alot of his businesses are out of that city.

I would not be surprised if Dan found a way to buy the Pistons, while LBJ takes the Cavs.

Why would he do that :russ:
Come help my business and you can have it :russ:
Bron is now Gilbert's heir over Jimmy nuetron:russ:
Y'all need to go outside:russ:
why do people think he'll buy the cavs ?? Dan gilbert is rich as shyt with 0 incentive to sell the team especially if they win another championship

plus by time bron retires the team will be worth 1.5-2 billion.. what 1.5-2billion lebron got to spend ?
Because signs point to Dan Gilbert wanting the Pistons.

He made his money in Ohio, but he's from Detroit and moved Quicken's HQ there, as well as being a major figure in the rebuilding of downtown Detroit. He also always has something to say about the Piston's business.

He's spending billions rennovating buildings, bidding on a MLS franchise (buying land for a potential MLS stadium downtown), getting Microsoft to open an office in the city, opening hotels downtown, etc etc. Since 2011 he's all in on Detroit. The Pistons are currently owned by a private equity firm. No one with any sort of personal stake. They simply bought when the city and franchise was on a low, banking on this current investment into the city core, and will sell high whenever someone comes knocking with the right price.

Gilbert selling the Cavs and buying the Pistons is basically a sure-fire bet at this point.

I think the cavs make the most sense. Something tells me those initial negotiations after he was about to leave Miami was to have that understanding that the Cavs will be the team LeBron either buys outright or have a very large stake in.

You act as if Lebron can't pool his money along with others money to own the cavs

At the end of his NBA career, Lebron will be worth close to a Bill if not more.

Who's in a position to turn down an offer to own the cavs with LeBron being a prospective buyer. It's a sure way for them to have a return on their investment along with the increase popularity of the Cavs post retirement. If MJ can do it, so can LeBron, and LeBron have powerful and rich people in his corner.

Its a matter of when will he do it after his retire rather than if

Pistons won't be up for sale, the Lions & Tigers will be.
