This is a false narrative that literally only exists in the Coli and in the minds of people who have been desperately waiting for LeBron to be "dethroned."
This is the worst TV rated season in the past 5 years, not even by a hair but a LANDSLIDE and it's because this is the first season in the past 5 years where LeBron wasn't known as the "it" guy. The Warriors are the best draw in the league and the ratings they generate are utter dogshyt compared to the Bron era heat or even his return year to Cleveland.
The only Warriors game to ever break 7+million regular season viewers...was against the Cavs. In fact, all their most watched games dating back to last year, have been against the Cavs. Their high Finals rating, solely because they were playing the Cavs. LeBron has broken 7+million viewers routinely. In terms of social media presence, Curry gets dominated again. LeBron's social media following rivals international soccer superstars, literally no player in the NBA challenges him in terms of the amount of followers or mentions. Y'all think Nike gave him a billy by accident?
The only thing Curry currently has on LeBron are All-Star Votes and Jersey Sales, in which case, LeBron came in 2nd place But all those statistics reflect is trends and as I stated Curry is currently being marketed as the "it" guy while LeBron is apparently an "afterthought" but is still right there.
Y'all love to big up your mans Curry and claim he's "overshadowed" LeBron but aren't even checking for his games.
Be a 73 win team and let a mediocre Cavs squad that has gotten significantly less marquee matchups this season challenge you on the most watched games list.

Be a 73 win team and "overshadow" LeBron but struggle to get impressive viewership without LeBron's presence.
