Shaedon Sharp took Kentucky NIL, and literally DnPed the entire season.
sharpe graduated early and enrolled at kentucky in the spring semester with the intention of redshirting and playing the next season like hamidou diallo did. except his stock went up while practicing with kentucky and he got a first round promise so he said fukk that i'm going. anyway he didn't DnP an entire season, he enrolled in school half way through with no expectation of playing that season.

So he pulled up, took NIL money, didn't play a single minute, and dipped? His camp knew he wasn't going to redshirt they just fed that lie to Kentucky for the bread lmao. How is what Darryn Peterson doing any worse? At least he's lacing up.

Cam Ward literally pulled himself out of the 2nd half of their bowl game against Iowa State and they lost. Did the Titans pass over him at #1 for quitting on his team? No...

I promise yall NBA execs don't care that much about bro sandbagging at Kansas. Ace Bailey told the Jazz "If you draft me, I'm not showing up" and look what they did. They got nikkas in the league hooping right now with DV cases.

No. 1 overall prospect Shaedon Sharpe will be arriving at Kentucky earlier than expected -- but he still won't play for the Wildcats until next season.

Sharpe plans to graduate from high school early and enroll at Kentucky after the fall semester. He will work out and practice with the Wildcats, but won't play in games and will take a redshirt year. He plans to suit up for games during the 2022-23 season.

It's not an unfamiliar path for John Calipari's program, as Hamidou Diallo enrolled at Kentucky in January 2017 before sitting out the rest of the season and playing in 2017-18.

he did redshirt the spring semester as planned, he just never came back for the next season. and his NIL money was from companies, not UK. it wasn't like how it is now back then. as a canadian there were visa restrictions on his earnings, so his biggest NIL deal was with a canadian sneakerhead community. later when the restrictions were sorted out he was in a louisville car dealership commercial and got paid for that.

So he took money and never stepped on the court? Thanks for proving my point I guess.

Until the NBA gets rid of one-and-done this situation is going to continue happening.

the canadian sneaker community paid him knowing he wasn't going to be on the court that season. they paid him for his name recognition and being a prominent canadian. and the dealership paid him to shoot an ad which he did, not to play for kentucky. no one at kentucky paid for him for services not rendered.

Melo also said he wasn’t coming out the game for nothing in college. He didn’t even want to miss practice. If it’s that easy for DP to duck big games/high ranked teams and sub himself out of games, he’s not a competitor.

he has gone head to head with two other top 4 picks this very season including destroying the coli's darling AJ

yall cant criticize buddy without embellishing the truth:deadrose:

This is what pride and ego looks like when you can't admit to being wrong about something

“Destroyed” :mjlol:

He had 18 points and quit in the second half. AJ had just as much and played until the end of the game with the entire Kansas defense trying to take him away.

Dudes bringing up Shaeden Sharpe and Jalen Johnson like they’re generational talents :mjlol: They are just good NBA players at their best. Neither one is also able to stay on the court, so it’s safe to say whatever they did didn’t save their bodies.

There isn’t one good example of a player ducking smoke and leaving games early that turned out to be an NBA superstar or All-Star. LeBron James was going hard in high school games and he had $100 million (literally) on the table waiting for him.

What makes Darryn Peterson an exception to the rules?
