Grew up in Braintree, then I lived downtown and out in Dorchester for a little bit when I moved out, before I decided to get my life together and settle down in the West Coast.

Lynn's hard as fukk haha. MA is less gang shyt and more just hard drugs, robbery, and fighting. Braintree's more tame compared to that since there's definitely a nice side to that area, but it's also bordered by Brockton, Randolph, and Quincy, so some real hood shyt would pass through town on a regular basis.

If any of that magick shyt is practical, it would definitely be Voodou. I don't like talking about it because I don't like getting too roped into any path, but personally I've seen shyt way too perfectly timed and effective for it to just be a regular 'coincidence.' People can believe what they want though haha

Oh Maine's beautiful I wasn't up there super often but the nature there is real nice

The basic idea behind Voodou is that there are certain Orishas / spirits that personify aspects of the Universe (such as Eleguá, the trickster and the Orisha of the crossroads) and by making offerings to, honoring, and / or channeling them you can achieve and manifest certain visions within the realm of probability into reality (as in, you're not going to learn to fly or shoot lasers out of your dikk or anything, but if you're looking to get that promotion, give your guardian spirit some food or tobacco or what they like, since it changes from spirit to spirit, and if they like you, they'll give it when the time comes). I'm prob paraphrasing a bit so if you really want to get into it I'd recommend doing your own research.

I wasn't up in Lawrence but when I was locked up over some real dumb shyt (I used to be way more stupid and hard-headed than I am now lol) I met some people from there that were real chill. But yeah, the best way to explain Braintree is that it's the hood with more money. There's a side of town where a small segment of the population has mansions and shyt, and real estate agents try and point to that as the face of the area to increase property values, but anybody who's spent time down there knows that down the street, you have fiends shooting heroin and kids carjacking and shyt.

A dude I knew from Brockton put it this way, "Braintree is the first place that people from the hood go once they have the money to move out." Basically there and Weymouth, so you have all these people and their kids who are one generation removed from South Boston or wherever, and they have all the money they need for drugs and alcohol but they're still out fighting and doing reckless shyt lol. I never really fukked with the rich side of town so that was my experience. Not tryina derail the thread though so I'll end it here lol, feel free to pm if you want to chat or whatever
