Breh sounds like a never ending mixtape and draws inspiration from the weirdest places - e.g. he sample the intro to I wish and looped a goddam curtis mayfield guitar embellishment over a whole record :snoop: ..Whats extra disappointing is he has more resources than the avid spiritual miracle individual and still comes off mediocre ....
Finally a nikka who understands, J. Cole has all the resources to be one of the best rappers. He has the skills, can story tell, has the fanbase, but refuses to make replay worthy music:bryan:

Instead of rapping over those boring ass unexciting beats with his one-dimensional flow, he needs some one like Mike Will Made it or Metro Boomin. I guarantee you if Cole had more charisma, upgraded his delivery and chose better beats, his shyt would be FLAMESSSS.

"I'm a respectable, slick undetectable, erectable, seminole, tongue on her clit, slit like envelopes, eat like cannibals, hannibal."

Just some random ass example.

Anyone else tired of these lame ass lyrical miracle rappers? Just saw a dude on WorldStar in a bucket hat spittin faster than a lambo trying to cram as much multis in his verse as possible. I look at nikkas like this and I'm like
:snoop::bryan:

It's 2015, when will dudes start understanding that there is more to making dope hip-hop or music in general than just having a fast flow with multis. It's not hard sit down and write nonsensical multis with no direction or story, ANYONE can do it.

Same dudes that ask why they never blow up. It's because no one is trying to hear that shyt clown, all that lyrical miracle shyt goes right in the garbage.
How do you explain Eminem selling 50M being a "lyrical miracle doo diddly gagagooly googly" rapper? :russ:

Yooo this shyt is hot though

"Beware" doesn't count because it's actually a good song period. Great beat, great flow. It happens to be lyrical miracle but it's already passed basic criteria and done it well.

The problem with lyrical miracle is that their beats and flows are usually straight shyt. Then they give excuses like "people are dumb to listen to my rhymes." Nah, you're just too dumb to make listenable hip hop.

To each his own friend, but there is nothing hot about a nikka rapping rhymes for no reason and flexing his vocabulary.
Nothing hot about mumbling inaudible nothings either...

Theres a lot more of that now than lyrical miracle shyt. You have to look for it to hate on that type of music. That mumble mush mouth rap is in your face daily.

Saying "anyone can do that" is far from the truth

But I agree, it doesn't lend itself necessarily to good music.

Never understood why rappers get criticize for not being lyrical by HipHop heads

I agree with the OP 100%

This is dumb. Not being lyrical is the equivalent of not being able to sing in R&B. Having the talent of being lyrical in of itself doesn't make you a good artist, just a good MC. Just like singing alone won't make you a good artist, just a good vocalist. But saying you don't understand why someone not being good at one of criterias for their profession is looked down upon is silly

It's like saying "I don't understand why a basketball players get criticized for not playing defense."

It's not. Like the OP said anyone can sit down and write metaphors and multis

Some artist put that energy into flow, adlibs and/or deliver

First off, "anyone can do" that is the biggest bullshyt ever. No the fukk they can't. There's very few people who have the talent to put words together and make it lyrical. what the OP did is by no means lyrical. I've never seen a rapper that wasn't very good lyrical (Minus Pac, and that's because he's dead) be considered a GOAT. There's a reason why nikkas like Future will never be up for debate as one of the greatest, regardless of how good their music sounds.

And that has nothing to do with lyricism not being a criteria. Just because some artists focus on one thing more than another doesn't mean the things they don't focus on isn't a criteria. That logic doesn't even make sense. Defense is a criteria to play in the NBA, just because you're successful at scoring, doesn't mean you not playing defense isn't a knock against your talent or skill, because it is. A major one. Just like not having the ability to put words together on a high level is a major knock against your talent.
