for starters, t-boz mothered her whole style from her music, to her vibe, to her whole presentation.

yea, we know aalyiah's history. shes barry hankerson's niece. thats how she got on. and just by watching her interviews, you could tell that the hood girl image was just that...an image. and she was not the official voice of the young females around the way back then. that title was hemmed up by monica.

Ginuwine's biggest hit is a song that he wrote that wasn't produced by Timbaland ("Differences"). He might not have been selling the 2 million he was selling with his Timbo produced albums, but he had a platinum album that had one Timbo beat that wasn't a single, and another album that went gold without any Timbaland productions.

Beyonce is a living Legend no doubt but I think Aaliyah again would of been right there in popularity. At the time of her death in 2001, Beyonce was popular but Aaliyah was still bigger at that point.

Aaliyah was getting outsold by Monica and Brandy, not to mention the older stars in the game.

Right now Monica and Brandy aren't close to what Beyonce is doing right now, so not sure how Aaliyah would be bigger than Beyonce then or now.
