This is true. She's already an icon. And it's mainly because of her talent. Beyonce can sing and is a wonderful performer. Now, Aaliyah, on the other hand, wasn't that great of a singer or performer, but she made wonderful music. B also has made some wonderful music, just not in the same vein.

I've always said on this forum that I don't see the need to drag Beyonce down in order to lift Aaliyah up.

I agree, Im not here denying Beyonce would be big that is common sense. She is gorgeous and talented but she started using writters for songs like ne-yo, she started acting like a hoe to cater to the new audience (like rihanna) ... B never needed to do sh1t like this.

Im not here comparing Aaliyah to B, they both pretty and made good music. both used writters .... but Aaliyah never changed her style or dressed slutty to stay relevant.
