:ohhh:

I don't know if JR can learn the offense.

Amar'e is never gonna learn this shyt :mjlol:

:russ: boy just think if Stat does though :wow: he'd finally learn how to pass the ball once he gets it in the post.

JR/THardaway & Melo would be deadly on that weakside play...if they can learn it. Now I see why they are stressing defense. The offense should produce points with the type of players on the team. Defense will be the major key for this team.

I see why Chandler had to go too. that guy couldn't pass the ball for anything once he got it down low. :scusthov:

Amare has the post game he just turns into a black hole

I'm pretty sure he is still under 100 assists between last season and the one that just finished:dahell:
But...after looking at that triangle offense by Knicks video (props to @SprinceC) it forces him to buy in.

His selfishness would become glaring and he'd seriously get no play time. He got away w/ that under Woodson, however, that was partly because Woody's offense had no identity. Now that Fisher will be running the Triangle, it's either buy in, or sit on the bench. That was what is beautiful about having a true "system". Once it's established, you can clearly see if someone if buying into or not from jump.

Melo could really eat off of that system though, especially when teams elect to double team him. His assists will be crazy int he first half of the game. When they have to put pressure on the perimeter, Melo can dissect the defender in the post.

I can't wait.

Dap, undap & dap again. Exactly what I'm thinking. If we get Gasol next year though.. Oh my...

But let's talk about this year though... those screens, cuts & backdoor passes...:whoo:

Funny thing is...Felton could have been an average point under this system...but Calderon though...I can't wait...

Yeah Chandler was always a horrible fit for the triangle. Not only his passing was suspect, his ability to hit a 15 - 8 foot shot is just :mjlol:

Without that shot his defender would be able to roam and would fukk the whole offense up. Beyond him though the rest of the roster (even Amare and Barg) have the physical skills to work in the triangle.

yep, now I see why Larkin is a fit as well. Penetration from the PG isn't a necessity in this system. That Mid-range J to the 3 is very important though. Calderon is very good at that as well. Breh if STAT learns how to pass in this system he would be unstoppable (when healthy). JR could do well if he had a brain...he'd KILL :wow: now I see why THardway is gunning...the shots are just there to :eat:

if this system doesn't do anything else it will drastically improve the Basketball IQ of the team. This also shows you why the Lakers & Spurs use to battle against each other. The system looks really hard to stop with the right personnel. Woodson looks like a complete joke with his ISO Melo crap now :snoop:

Also this shows you how dumbed down the entire league has gotten with the high screen and roll stuff. Nobody really even runs complex plays anymore. (the Lebron effect) :beli:

Under 50 :dead:. I'm convinced he'll be traded at the deadline when NY will have paid 70% of his contract, making his contract a steal for anyone who gets him. He's a great player but he doesn't fit the system, too injury prone, and NY doesn't need him :manny:.

You know who I'm happy we don't have in this system?

People who either couldn't shoot(Fields) people who moved like a snail around screens(Novak), people who complained too much to buy into a system or identity(Felton), people who couldn't handle a pass or pass(Chandler) and.... damn...we only need one more person to create that "Knick's Cancer" starting line up...

Who will be the Phil's lucky person... Find out next week...:sas2:

Knicks guard Tim Hardaway Jr. has been selected to practice with the USA national team during their training camp in Las Vegas which begins July 28.

Hardaway has been outstanding for the Knicks in the Vegas Summer League and his inclusion on the select team is the first step toward being invited to the national team pool.

The U.S., which will play two exhibition game at Madison Square Garden next month, will be headed to the FIBA World Cup in Spain in late August.

Hardaway averaged 10.2 points as a rookie last season.

THJR, a star in the making brehs...
