Funny how y'all in here trying to pretend Mark Jackson didn't make the Dubs relevant again

Like they didn't have a near 30 game win improvement from his first year to his third year.

Also funny trying to pretend that the year he got fired, Steph Draymond and Klay had all came back way better players.

That's not to understate what Kerr has done, but the Warriors didn't even lose a game under Luke Walton.

Steph said himself that Kerr knows that he's lucky and how blessed he is to walk into this situation like he did. All with players who are at their peak and have shedded their early shells.

Dubs were taking that step forward no matter who the coach was. Proven under Luke. Steph is unguardable now. Ain't no X's and O's can REALLY make sense of Steph pulling up from 35. With another sharpshooter and play maker in Klay and Dray.

I think part of the issue with Mark is how he acted and treated some people. I think he could be good for the Wolves and agree that he is who started our turnaround process (from the coaches chair)...

okay, then just say that. Say that it was how the way he treated the people upstairs.

Hate when people try to say he's a bad coach. Bad coaches don't have 30 game win improvements in under 2 years. And this is not with Steph as we know him now. Or Klay as we know them now. Or Draymond as we know them now.

Steph wasn't doing what he does now. Klay wasn't the defender or scorer is now and Draymond wasn't the leader or versatile player he is now.

This is with a young, still learning Steph Curry.

He won games. His players (outside of Bogut) loved playing for him. That's what matters.

Wasn't he playing David Lee over Draymond?:patrice:

to be fair, he only had draymond for 2 years and the 2nd year is when green started to take that leap.

i don't think mark was creative enough offensively to make the warriors the team they are today (moving iggy to the bench, playing green at the 5, having green run the offense from top of the key, etc.), but with a more traditional lineup like the wolves then maybe he can come up with a scheme to maximize their potential together. it wouldn't be a bad hire if wolves go with him.

Would be a good fit - could institute a structure to get all that young talent they have popping.

Just need to chill on all that proselytizing.

Love thibs when it comes to defense. but this team needs to run run run. Thibs is a great coach but can he adjust his system to fit the talent? Mark Jackson- no because he doesnt know how to put together a staff. Also he doesnt recognize talent(Bazemore, DRaymond)
He was the one who brought the talent in. How does he not recognize talent. Mike Malone was from his coaching tree. What the heck are you talking about.

Based on what we've seen from all of them, why are we to believe Van Gundy or Thibodeau (particularly JVG) are going to do more than that?

I'm not sold at all on JVG and honestly though I like him as a broadcaster his complete inability to ever criticize another coach makes me wonder if he's actually adaptable and able to adjust to the modern NBA. With Thibs I believe he maxed out the talent he had in Chicago. Rose was the only top level offensive talent they had and he was a volume scorer at the PG spot. They had some nice talent but they weren't great. Thibs made them into an elite team but when they went up against prime LeBron it was clear they didn't have an answer when Bron put the clamps on those Rose drives.

i think it's a good fit for that team. They are young and talented in an organization known for losing. Mark Jackson isn't a coach that'll win you a championship, but he's damn good at instilling supreme confidence in your stars and building that foundation. If the decision is between thibs and mj I'd probably pick thibs but mj isn't a bad choice either.
