Right, i dont control anything my husband does, he’s a grown man. He can do what he wants, if I have a problem I’ll tell him if he refuses to change/stop and I can’t deal with it then I’ll leave. The LAST thing I ever want to do is stop someone from living their life.

It’s obviously a generation thing. It’s inferred that most of the wives in the OP do not work. To make them feel like they are contributing , most of those men prolly allow the woman to be in charge of the house and finances . It makes sense, however it seems that turned into her being the “gatekeeper “ of the money and since she doesn’t work she pretty much get what she wants, cus she couldn’t otherwise.
