ask alex smithWow. Now you can't recognize that a high completion % COMBINED with a high YPA isn't impressive as hell? Along with a low int total?
.

Id dump anyone looking for a ton of money proportional to the cap. I dont care who you are.So your solution is dump the great QB and hope to find another in the draft.
You'd make a fantastic GM. Gotta make sure our tight end is paid the same as our franchise QB!

better completion %, better ypa last year than ryan, better int%![]()
So basically the NIners should have kept Smith? If Kaep has an agent worth his salt he's getting a monster deal. Why didn't they keep the cheaper option long term if he's just as good?

.
if kaep wants 25 milly, Id trade him and get like 2 1st rounders. problem solved

If he wins a superbowl this year.... The ext is justified... If not, than
This is the year they need to win, They are at their peak talent-wise right now.
Not familiar with their cap situation though after this year so it'll be interesting with Julio starts demanding that check...
He isn't in the Eli, Ben tier. THey've both made multiple superbowls and have won them. He won't be there until he actually wins a SB or atleast makes it there in my opinion... and we don't know what Julio will do. Anything can happen, and money talks... I said I am not familiar with their cap situation and other players who might need to be paid too so who knows, it isn't just Julio.Julio's not going anywhere. As far as this being their peak, that wasnt the best Ravens team of the past 5 years and they won. Anything can happen in a one game elimination...its about consistently getting there(playoffs) and thats what having solid QB play year in and year out gets you.
He's not in the upper tier, but he's in the Eli, Ben tier....guys who arent "elite" but guys capable of winning the SB if the stars align.

and when I say "peaking" talent-wise, I mean the culmination of a lot of different intangibles. The Ravens, Offensively were the most talented team they've had in the past 5 years imo, defense was sufficient, and their situation was unique because a lot of good players were on the last year of their deal. They kind of needed to win the superbowl due to the players that would end up leaving this offseason. So when it comes to Atl, i don't know what other players are on the last year of their deal, they could be i the same type of situation as the Ravens where a lot of players might be gone next offseason.
I think it is a win now scenario... They need to win this year.
