With my limited knowledge of this and no reading and just hearing some shyt on the radio, this seems like a wild story. So this case isn't big enough to be researched criminally but they still may be expelled from the school just makes something about this feel weird. But after reading through
@Walt True Coliwood stories and knowing the shyt that has gone on at Baylor and probably 98.9% of campuses across the country, it's hard to to feel strongly either way.
From what I heard on the radio, it sounds like a lot of these guys are being implicated for simply being in the building that this took place in. I don't like the University policing itself because we have enough proof that most often, schools are going to protect themselves and the people who make them the most money like athletes. So I don't know if it was shoddy investigating or it's a bunch of outside voices putting the university under pressure. I'm not comfortable with this woman making these allegations if it is out of embarrassment but it also isn't hard to believe that what started as consensual between a couple people turned into something else when other people started getting involved.
I understand the players wanting to stick up for their teammates and their reputation, but they better be 100000000% certain this shyt wasn't sexual assault or this just further shows mens unwillingness to understand how Rape Culture exists and how stands like this make everyone look bad.
