That liquid shyt is church btw. Anyone want to know the easy way to shed numeric pounds is stick to water. Shyt also helps if your dieting keep one of them gallons of water next to you and if your stomach growlin a bit drink that shyt.

A lot of good information.
I don't recommend fasting as a way to control caloric intake for weight loss. Not because it doesn't work and not because there are health-related problems with it, but because it is similar to going on an Atkins diet. It works great with fast results but once you come off it, you have a tendency to yo-yo back up and even beyond what you started off at.

I had to lose weight, won't go into why, but I forced myself to fast once a week, plus I jogged a couple miles on that day for even more effect. Well, I did lose weight for what I needed to; but once I stopped the once-a-week fasting, I started going up in weight slowly. It's been years since I've been at my target weight. I started to seriously focus on my weight loss last May 2011 and decided to do it slowly with a diet I can maintain as my lifestyle diet. So, I started losing weight and lose about 1 to 4 lbs. a month. It's slow but my weight doesn't yo-yo like crazy. I'm still not back at my target weight, I've got about 11 more pounds to go. I've weight lifted most of my life. Lately, I have been doing more cardio due to recent surgery to my shoulder.

Good luck to everyone trying to lose weight and peace.

As the saying goes, correlation does not imply causation.

Your previous failure had nothing to do with fasting (which isn't even the same category of an Atkins diet), but everything to do with your inability to eat correctly.

There's a psychological component to every diet, the return to maintenance being one of em. If you haven't developed good eating habits while on the diet, what makes you think you're going to once your goal is reached?

spliff is right

but part of the hardest part of going from flabby to in shape is the change in mindset and defeating old habits

progressive change is best imo, IE right now I eat much less carbs than I did at the start of my cut, yet the calories are relatively the same(by proportion), i wouldnt have been able to manage it off the bat

but one thing that I need to stress is eating right and working out shouldnt be a phase or a point a to point b thing

body recomposition MUST be a lifestyle for it to be anything close to permanent
