The NFL and NBA are dumb as fukk if games from the 80s to early 2000s are getting 500k and up views on YouTube why not have a streaming service that have every game in HD But I would say the NFL haven’t been taking down games like that lately

I think yall overestimate how many people are willing to pay to watch old games...if it's free...sure, people might stop and watch

but if the deal doesn't come with live games and other analysis & entertainment, it's not gonna draw

How is wiping out complete games that let's folks go back in time and watch the league from different eras a "good job by the league"?
The league needs to have that through their control. Like all of the sports leagues, the NBA needs to be it’s own messenger.

I hope they are smart like MLB is in allowing Jomboy to use their footage

Nobody wants to pay for content they were watching for free. This subscription shyt has jumped the shark. I hope the nba know what they’re doing cause this could backfire

No one was paying when they were selling it either. They'd sell entire playoff series, or team runs on home video...and that ish didn't move. "Now, you can own this entire piece of history as the Team XYZ make their historic playoff run....with this special commemorative plaque..."

Gotta be stingy with dinero to finance these contracts :sas2:

Coming a lot of price increases and changes to deal with "escalating costs for sporting rights"

And who will this affect... you guessed it not "the billionaires" :sas1:
