Athletes in general, especially NBA players are pretty casual music listeners, let alone dudes born in the 2000s
So Im not surprised by this.
No they aren’t athletes are people just like me and you

And they digest plenty of music moreso than the regular consumer actually because its reg for them to have headphones on or listen to music while practicing on the court or working out in the gym

There’s huge hip hop heads in the NBA guys like LeBron, Melo, Durant, Wilson Chandler off top and obviously there’s more casual listeners. It’s corny y’all generalizing and shooting down the opinions because these guys are young and athletes.

You can go anywhere and ask around and Kendrick would get the nod more times than the others

Kendrick been a monk for quite some time. If this was asked in 2017 or early-mid 2018 you know answers would be different.

Interestingly Cole used to be an even bigger monk than Kendrick, straight up ghosting everybody between albums. He's had more buzz for his features than his album IMO, and it has kept him on fire. Plus the Dreamville project.

and of course Drake is eternally on the charts. Makes sense.

Most ball players listen to music to get them ready for a game and then to the club, it is what it is. lol

So the barometer for being a hip hop head is listening to Freddie Gibbs? :heh:
