A way to appease both sides is to allow 2-3 off ball fouls, anything after that gets one shot and the ball

Also the tech has to be shot by the person getting fouled

Don't change the fukking rule, I look at it as a strategy used to emphasize a certain flaw an opponent may have, that is a part of the damn game.. Should an NFL team not be allowed to put 8 in the box if the qb can't fukking pass? Foh, get over the mental hurdles.. because ONE coach is blatantly using it to attack a handful of guys in the league. We need a league reform for that? He wasn't the first one to do it and he won't be the last. We're really gonna ban the concept of giving you free points because you know you can't take them or have no faith in doing so? Wilt couldn't get a rule like this changed. Shaq couldn't get rule like this changed. Tim Duncan improved to where he didn't need to be hacked, but we're gonna let DeAndre Jordan be the main litmus test of our entertainment?

You got some baseball fans who whine about shifts. That doesn't mean banning them would be a good idea.

You and some other posters on here want to get mad over it, but the NBA is a product at the end of the day. NOBODY likes the hack-a-whoever strategy. It is not fun to watch.

You want guys to work on their free throw shooting but also excuse teams for not playing half court defense at the same time. This "strategy" is not in the spirit of the game. You and everyone else in here knows that.

When this gets phased out, NOBODY is going to be clamoring for it to come back or reminiscing about the times DeAndre Jordan, Josh Smith, Shaq, etc. shot 32 free throws in a game that lasted three hours.

I understand the need to make a change from the perspective of keeping the game going at a faster pace. But at the same time I have a problem with helping out poor free throw shooters. I see comments about just play defense. Well isn't part of playing defense attacking your opponents weaknesses?

At most I would say maybe change the no intentional foul from 2 mins to 5 or 6.
