This is what you and
@Piff Perkins dont get. Just because a nikka does all those things that PIff brokedown, doesnt mean it = a great record.
I love the effort, but what ya'll are not considering is how forgettable the melodies are and how uneventful kendrick's flow is. Kendrick sounds wack on the mic,his aggressiveness sounds extra forced and nothing about his performance makes me want to recite it and nothing about the melodies in the track make me want to hum them. IMA BOSS can repetitive as fukk, but it's dope as fukk too, from the beat to the performances.
I listen to alot of older shyt, from hiphop R&B pop ,rock country etc so my mind is wide open to the factors Piff was trying to point out in kdot's song, but if you do all that and the song has low replay value, then who cares?
Look at something like PYT,i know it's not hiphop, but listen to the power.
It has vast changes from intro,to verse,to bridge,to hook, break down outro etc
But guess what, every where the song goes,is dope.
Kendrick shyt is just flat and forgettable. He can keep going a big shows via the machine but he has no street power. I guarantee this record want have a buzz to match meek's "intro' EVEN THOUGH it was put out on national tv. Nobody in my facebook friend list has brought it up AT ALL.
This is the correct hiphop way to do that type of shyt
Kendrick need to make better shyt PERIOD
