The MTA us Fukking up worse than ever right now, what is we gon do brehs?

things i noticed ..

- express trains running local all the time now
- trains dangerously crowded (yes i know ridership is higher than ever)
-stations in CAC areas have heaters but in the hood:mjpls:
-excessive mechanical/ signal related delays

the MTA has automation technology (CBTC used on L train) that will allow them to run more trains but their not implementing it. price keeps going up service getting worse. we need to organize to put some pressure on the MTA, de blasio, cuomo to stop ignoring these issues
:francis: A whole lot of bullshyt especially trains going straight local.

MTA been a criminal enterprise forever. Price hikes, shytty service, no upgrades forever man. That 2nd Ave. line I thought was supposed to be done like two years ago? When I lived in BK the train was my enemy. Living in Harlem though that shyt is my butch. They only care about Manhattan.

Living in Manhattan:blessed:

A train is on point 90% of the year and if not I can always take the 1. I feel bad for people in BK and Queens because the trains always seemed to be messed up.

I can't understand how they can raise the fare so often. People taking mass transit in NY is guaranteed business. It's not like they ever gave a massive decrease in riders. They have to be caking enough to handle any infrastructure upgrades without paying the cost to us.
BK/BX/QZ wouldn't be bad if they built the fukking Tri-boro already :stopitslime:

Been here for almost 4 years now (moved from the Chi) and I gotta say as the prices have increased it seems the service has gotten worse. I stay by the Q train in Brooklyn. I can't express how late this train is in the mornings and night. On top of that towards the summer they have one side shut down for construction (I rarely see construction workers improving on the look of the station and at best we usually only get fresh paint:martin:).

Fuk the Q, train almost cost me my job MULTIPLE TIMES

Man I hate these damn trains. I'm in the middle of closing on a spot in Riverdale. Once that happens, i'm only messing with the Metro North and driving. Trains have been extra packed and slow as of late, plus the slashings and random fights on them shyts don't help at all. @radio rahiem , what line is your train on breh?
Where are the slashings and shyt you guys talk about? Bedstuy G,A,C?

I was underground for TWO fukking hours I kid you not. I was about to have an anxiety attack underground. It took us a legit 45 minutes from fukking 71st and continental to Roosevelt. Then the service was all fukked up.

"F running local"
:blessed:

After being stuck on that bytch ass train forever, the shyt switches up at Roosevelt.

"F running express, on the E line"

:mindblown: M/R takes 15 minutes to get there.

I got to work crazy late.

I feel you on the anxiety attack, shyt was packed and we not moving at all...that's just not a good situation. I ain't taking no train for a good while, fukk that.

im for buck fiddys especially to L train riding cacs

great thread but :whoa:

not co-signing this breh :whoa:
I never really had any issues riding the train. This is probably because I tend to hop rather than pay the $2.50, even hopped the station at City Hall several times.:manny: I use to hop the buses too until the installation of cameras.:martin:

 its 2.75, you out the loop, honestly sound like a part timer

Its a roll of the dice everytime I take the train in the morning for work.

Take the 2 all of a sudden it turns to the 5. Take the Q all of a sudden shyt turns to the R. Then the next stop its back to the Q :why:

LOL that sh!t is so accurate. happens daily.
Yes!!! Facts, the forest hills stop is a freakin Dizaster out here.

i am in that station almost everday and honestly its a big station but a clusterfukk especilly in the mornin. durin like noon to 3 it aint bad.

ever since they started construction them narrow passageways smh

4,5,6, 2,3 are the WOAT train lines by far esp during rush hour in the morning and evenings

facts

North Riverdale...on the left side of the Hudson Parkway....I'd have to drive to the 1, but that shyt is local so I'd avoid it.

i love the neighborhood of riverdale. just like it, didnt realy enjoy all the racist looks when i used to go up there but a lot has changed over the last decade

instead of just white jews its turnin into a mix of hispanic black and asian (indian as well but thats asian lol)

Just switch at 96th like everyone else does.

For a local, you can go from Riverdale to 42nd in 40 minutes tops on the 1, and that's if you go local the whole way

i NEVER do what everyone else does, that shyt will get you nowhere imo., id switch at 72

I used to get from 125 to Rockefeller on the D train in minutes but that train was crowded as fucc

i love the d-train. lol i thought about hittin the disclaimer @CashmereThoughts but fck it

orange is what i rely on

The mta board needs a complete overhaul I remember about 10-15 years ago Paul McCartney one legged wife was on the mta board. We taxpayers are paying for these board members to be driven around all day and do nothing.

The part that always pissed me off are the legislators who live nowhere near the NYC subway or buses,Metro North and LIRR are the ones who hold the most power and say where and when state money goes to fix the transportation. The second avenue subway should've been built decades ago.

el poyo loco for mta president

if you on tremont you got it made. the D train running express and skipping all the stops from 145 to tremont is :banderas:. gets you there from midtown FAST

yea that d train is a beast i stay on it

Thread makin me shed real tears :mjcry:, I miss NY and them trains.
While workin in NY i managed to live @ last stops so i always got a seat 148 3 train and 179th on the F.
Last few times I was in NY i drove everywhere, that bougie life brehs:banderas:

you can visit anytime breh :ehh:

To be fair, I didn't really take the train during rush hour

But I never had a bad experience, and I went all over the city. That could very well be different if I lived there full time and had to take the train to work every morning.

For all its flaws, it's a pretty damn good transit system

How many other US cities have trains running between midnight and 5AM? Can you even get by in LA without driving?

good points, we are a lil spoiled. but it is a huge difference if you ride it daily and depend on it

me personally i NEVER ride the bus. i find it unreliable more than the train because for traffic.

but some laces you gott take the bus cuz the trains too far.

I don't live in the city anymore (moved to the burbs), but when I did the congestion of the 4,5,6 was unacceptable. It makes no sense that the west side has 4-6 lines and the east side only had 1.

always thought that made no sense but its the cities history. the richest fckers live on the eastside. the mayors mansion, all these billionaire cat(c)s etc.

i take the D train everyday (pause) and almost never make it from 125 to 59th with out stopping due to "train traffic ahead" made me late today.

crazy cuz i take the D (not in the morning) all the time (usually 3-6pm) and im always G. take it from BX to midtown

Kingsbridge, by the bridge to Manhattan

great neighborhood, always loved it. much like riverdale its chaning a lot too. gettin more spanish and blacks.

we dont need anymore whites :whoa:

Agree with the above. Every other major city you pay based on distance traveled. NYC subway is also only one of the only rapid transit systems in the world that runs 24/7. Subway riders are actually kind of spoiled.

The trade off is other rapid-transit systems in other cities are much better maintained. Also the NYC subway is older than all of the others except London. If they developed it today it'd be a lot better planned than the competitive clusterfukk that was the IRT, IND and BMT.

we are definitely spoiled but sh!t is the worst when the train ruins your schedule or the metrocard errors/glitches/implodes etc.

G train is the worst though...shyt is never reliable.

On the other hand, when I was in Seoul..............whew......
that shyt comes in every 2min on time, free wifi, lcd screens everywhere, 7/11's and malls in the station, tracks are fully screened so no suicide jumpers, and no need to buy tickets you can just tag your wallet and go straight in.

yes facts. G train shouldnt even fukkin be mentioned. shyt has done be so dirty throughout the years.

sometimes i think it dont even go thru BK/QNS it just sits in the yard laughin at people waitin for it smh

that korean station sounds :ahh: tho im sure all the koreans in queens are like :cmon: when they see our shyt lol

I still think NYC trains are the goat but Japanese system is hot, you can use the train cards for purchases in stores, shts was on time, clean. Feminists would love it cause they had female only cars. Only downside was sum stations diddnt have free transfers

female only cars? :dead:

Man come to Toronto, now that's one fukked up transit system. We got 3 lines and they all suck. I live downtown and takes me an hour to get to work which is downtown. Everywhere overcrowded and we got a fraction of NYC's population.

We still using this: BTW, NO A/C and small windows that barely open.

Penis gets grazed on the regular.

thanks for makin me feel better :salute:
You talking about Brooklyn breh??:patrice:

:what: why the hell would he be talkin about brookyln it has MAD trains? :what:

staten is the only boro with no connection. and you reppin NY? :patrice:

Nah it's a rap for LIC breh. The tech sector is coming. Regular 2 br apt in LIC is around 2100. :wow:

lic is done. shyt went from QB to now QBs live there. i still hang out in the alleys and under the bridge tho :shaq:

I haven't had to take the train much the last couple of years since I go to Queens Coll., I either drive or take the bus (111, 113, 114 still a haven for fukkery). But Ima be going to grad school in the city next fall and I'm dreading taking the train everyday again :snoop:
If the LIRR ever did that shyt where they'd cut the prices for people traveling within the city limits, I'd probably hop on that in a heart beat since I'm a 10 minute walk from a station. It'd actually work better for me if they finish the East Side Access on time
The CBTC, my guess is that they're doing it first on lines that don't share tracks with other lines (L,7, G, the shuttles) for safety reasons

i think i have taken the bus twice in the last 16 years. its train + walking for me

I come in to the city from Jersey but still rarely take the subway cause of this. Dealing with the MTA and NJ Transit are like taking on two headed monsters.

I remember once I walked from Penn all the way down to SoHo cause the trains were shytty that day.

:banderas: ive walked from dyckman to WTC, multiple times

I was underground for TWO fukking hours I kid you not. I was about to have an anxiety attack underground. It took us a legit 45 minutes from fukking 71st and continental to Roosevelt. Then the service was all fukked up.
